Are my skills messed up?

Ok here are my sailing and weapon skills. Can you tell me if they are messed up? Or if not, how can I fix them?

Swipe: 2/5
Asp: 1/5

Sailing- 6

Left Broadside: 1/5
Right Broadside: 1/5
Full Sail: 3/5
Come About: 1/5
Windcatcher: 1/5

Cannons- 5

Shoot: 2/5
Round Shot: 2/5
Chain Shot: 1/5
Grapple Shot: 1/5

K thats it, it may be long but I need some help please!!!

Don't have any advice, other than to let ya know, that such things are going to vary from player to player. There is no "wrong" way to do it, nor is there any one "right" way to do it.

You cant change skill points already assigned if they are on a skill you dont like.


Is there something going on that is leading you to believe you've made some mistake?

Reviewing your settings, there is one thing i would recommend, on sailing start building up your broadsides. Unless your in the boat races, I dont 3 on full sail was probably real helpful, but its a matter of individual style.

Everyone has their own opinions on what they like and don't like.

I would recommend a few things, if you are not in a guild, perhaps find one. Others in your guild should be able to help you along in some of these things, and why and why not to take something.

Also you can figure some of this out for yourself, what you want to do. At this point there are 25 points to put into each weapon skill. I you want 5 points in each one you choose, then you just have a choice of picking 5.

Latest thing I have noticed is blade instinct doesn't reach a 25% increase, as well these type things seem to only be reaching there full amount as you max your character in notoriety.

Yea I thought the Full Sail thing was a bad investment but I guess I can just work on my Windcatcher from now on.

Btw, what are ship races?

I've never participated, but ive read about guilds, arranging and doing boat races in some fashion.

The first pirate I got I set aside to be a test pirate for each of the skills. If you think you're not getting the most out of skills, you should set aside a pirate to try them out. Dog gets no more than two points for any given skill.
