Weapon Trainning Question
Say you have a higher level cutlass skill than dagger. You get your enemy down to just a sliver of health with your cutlass; & then change to your dagger. Would your dagger recieve full XP for the figth?

Your dagger would only receive the percentage of points that you actually used it on the enemy. Best way to level dagger, find a gypsy or other voodoo enemy, hit it with hex shot until it stops casting spells, then finish it with your dagger.

Quote:
In the scenario you reflected. The cutlass would get almost all of the reps rewarded, and the dagger few or none. Similar scenario... You attack an enemy with cutlass, take it down to half health. You switch to dagger, and finish the enemy off. Now, roughly 50% of the rewarded reps would be given to each of the weapons. This is not exact however because of effectiveness and number of attacks used will play a role in the overall rep rewards. Without crew or other rep bonus's, the most reps you can get from an enemy per weapon is 100. You can get more reps by using more weapons. The following attack numbers are not accurate, just for example to explain how it works. Lets suppose the following: 10 cutlass strikes = 100 reps 10 dagger strikes = 100 reps 10 pistol shots = 100 reps 10 doll attacks = 100 reps 10 staff attacks = 100 reps 10 grenade attacks = 100 reps Now, IF you could actually get in ALL those attacks on a single enemy, you could theoretically get 600 reps for one enemy. The "10" attacks used in this example is fictional, the required number of attacks will vary depending on the enemies level, your notoriety/weapon level, and the weapon skills your using. |
