Wher'd the Marauders go?

Before they added the French and Spanish skelly ships, you could always find
a Marauder near Padres. Now they are virtually impossible to find.

Does anybody know any marauder spawning spots still working? If not, its time to
dump the "family Heirlooms" quest.

I usually find one in the area around Cangrejos

Yeah, they spawn around Cangrejos and even Rumrunners with all the French and Spanish and whatnot. Those waters are pretty busy these days.

Yeah it definitely seems that the Marauders and Baracuda's have the same spawn chance as any other ship. Basically now when a ship is defeated, a wider range of ships has an equal chance to spawn meaning less of everything (although there is usually a bounty of French/Spanish so maybe it's slightly slanted towards the new content). That being said I have spotted Marauders near Padres, off of Cutthroat, and Cangrejos.

I just cruised out to Cangreos. No Marauders.. I sank one rare barracuda before the spanish lighteninged me to death... (I run solo on the test server) I saw a couple of ogres, an ironwall and one cruddy sentinal.

The navy seems as present as it ever was, which leads me to believe that the EITC is the power that was reduced to make way for the French and Spanish. I wonder if the devs realized how they have unbalanced the mix?

Last night took me a couple hours but found 7 marauders off Padres. I needed a total of 10 for the Level 15 Sword Quest and still needed 7 until last night. They were usually surrounded by KingFishers, Skeletons and Ogres so had to kill them off first. Its a killer when I shot about 5 that didnt count on prior nights.

I've seen Marauders near Perdida.

I can confirm that there is strong likelihood of finding a Marauder sailing Brigand Bay, between Cuba and Isla Perdida; however, I cannot confirm that it currently respawns consistently as a Marauder.

I just sailed my mediocre galleon from cuba to Isla Perdida. Saw no marauders.
I swung all the way around the island. Saw a phantom, a bloodhound, a flag barracuda and a flag kingfisher (that fired one volley of fireballs and sunk me).

Still no marauders... I sent in a whine to Disney.

I sank two Marauders just this morning between Kingshead and Padres, on the edge of the Hinterseas. (They were pretty near the coast of Padres, in fact.) I think they alternately spawn with other ship types, so you may need to sink something else (perhaps an Ironwall or MoW?) before you get one to show up. There were also a couple Barracudas in the same general area.

The waters are fairly treacherous there, with Revenants and Storm Reapers about, but at least it was well away from the new Spanish ghost ships.

I had to sink like 30 Marauders before I found that family heirloom quest. I didnt 'drop' it, i just left it. While sailing made it a point to sink one when I saw it.. and eventually I filled the quest.

I've had to deal with them lately in PR/PDF/Cutthroat triangle...

I just went and checked it on Galaacare Ocean.

It can sail pretty far off to the west. For example, where I first found it:



I got it to respawn 3 times in a row, in pretty much the same location just south of Isla Perdida:

It seems to me that, while I might be refusing to accept some skills by not taking them, you are refusing to accept the skills I did take.

Well this glitch needs to be fixed I am as well on the pirate lore quest I have sank 5 marauders 4 with my war galleon and 1 with a cannon on another players ship .
They are so hard to find there should be none of that "nothing was found" stuff.
Someone needs to tell disney to fix it or say goodbye to my $10 a month.
In all honestness they should even level up rep by at least 30 for even finding 1 now.
Not that hard to find Navy frigates but EITC frigates FOGET about it.
When I get a mission I go do it I don't wanna say ok I'll work it in somehow but this mission is way worse than grenade mission.
