Try to keep this thread going, If all goes well and from what I heard disney say one time when you start up pirates "from info we have gotten from fan sites and all sorts of request" so maybe if this thread does good like maybe just maybe the adult server thread then it might work. don't just agree, add ideas give feed back. etc....

There definitely has to be some way of controlling a guild if a GM goes missing. I just don't understand why a new Guildmaster cannot be promoted if the current one cancels the membership, goes AWOL, etc. And I definitely think that Disney needs to incorporate more piratey aspects into the game. The Walk the Plank features for stowaways would have been a great addition, even the new system of who can board other's ships is flawed. But a Mutiny would be fantastic! Well, not fantastic, but you know what I mean.
The very first guild that I was in was going nice and strong until the GM lost interest and we never heard from him again. We waited almost a month until finally deciding to cut our losses and move on. Not that I'm complaining, since I have my own guild now, but still. Also, another way to avoid this problem is to maybe have there be Co-GMs. Either both can be designated when the guild is founded or someone can be promoted. There really needs to be a better hierarchy within the guilds beyond GMs, Officers, and Members. I would like to see perhaps a 'First Mate' option, a second in command sort of thing. Now, it's just *bam!* you're an Officer, off you go. I think it would serve more of a purpose in a guild if there were other promotions to be made. Just something to protect guilds and the people who invest their time in to them. Anything. Read this Disney!

There are some great suggestions, but it would be something hard to implement, say if a few members of a guild just start disliking their guild...
I'm gonna make a new thread of this sort. |

So, theres 6 officers in the guild. 2 are online, 4 are not. 2 vote to mutiny, 4 are not present to vote. 2 votes is majority for online officers.... Mutiny happens. Sorry, but the above scenario your idea follows is definately unfair. Anyone... and I mean ANYONE takes my guild away from me, and I will cancel my account immediately. People can leave the guild if they want, thats THIER choice. Foul Windbags is a division of Old Farts eXtreme gaming, a game clan 9+ years and still running. They should have something that allows officers to file a request for transfering GM. If we had the ability to appoint a chain of command this would be helpful also, in detemining who should be GM 'next'. Simply having the ability to transfer GM would in itself be a nice addition. |

It would have to take a standing majority of every officer, every member, regardless of whether they're on or not. Would there just be a "Mutiny" button!?
There should be a first mate option, as to keep a guild moving with or without a guildmaster. Check out the portion of my idea in the lower half of my new thread. As well, a stat option for seeing when a player was last on would be universally helpful. |
