Doc Grog's Ingredient List Help - Pirates of the Caribbean Online Fansite & Forums

I am currently struggling my way through Doc Grog's Laundry List from heck!

Could anyone recommend places to look for~
Venus Fly Trap
Stumps
Scorpions (I found the ones in the Tortuga swamp, but with the 2 level 3 pirates, 2 level 4 wasps and 2 level 4 scorpions, I was instant toast. So I am hoping they may be elsewhere.)
Also if I indeed have to do that entire darn list, I will need giant crabs. (which from what I have read here...oh joy!)

I have run across several Venus Fly Traps, I'll retrace my steps and find them again. The are definitely on one of the islands we aren't working yet and are in a cave.

The stumps are cool! Go into the swamp behind Elizabeth's mansion on Port Royal and head left. Keep an eye out for him because he's a stump and kind of blends in. The one that defeated me in two blows was a level 10

More scorpions are also in Port Royal. Go the same way you went to find Tia Dalma, the skeletons in there are around level 4. Run to the right after you emerge and keep to the middle, if you avoid the skeletons they won't engage you. Look for a ramp made of rock on the right hand side, you'll come across the large side of it first, run around to the back and run up that. An alligator is sitting there but can be easily avoided. On top are two scorpions.

As for the blasted crabs....I'm ripping my hair out over those things. I went to Isla Corgnejo (I'm totally spelling that wrong) and it's full of crabs. I was able to fire from my ship and injure the giant crabs to yellow but they board your ship. Once they are on your ship they are kind of hard to battle because of the limited room, you run up the steps and your pistol no longer targets them. I wish we could board each other's ships, I know we could get rid of them then.

There is a Fly Trap on Devil's Anvil, it's in a path, it looks like the one on Port Royal that takes you to Tia Dalma.

I am also trying to get all of the ingredients, so I'll be more than happy to help out. My new character is Elizabeth Seahawk

I need to defeat giant crabs that have eaten sharks. Anyone know where there are sharks circling an island?

It would be my guess that it's Isla Congrejo (I may be spelling that wrong). That island is infested with crabs and the giant ones will swim out and board your ship.

thanks for the tip about shooting the crabs from the ship. I was able to kill them all by shooting from my ship 2 at a time. I would sail away when they started boarding then came back. Unfortunately, none of them had the entrails of sharks in them.

where do you get the entrails? i searched high and low on driftwood island and no had luck all i found were a few lvl 2 crabs and some wasps.

This one took me a while, but I needed to kill the "giant" crabs. So I shot them from my ship on Isla Congrejas (crab island) and it completed the quest. Make sure that you are killin the giant crabs and not the smaller ones. It takes a while and be careful to sail away from shore when they board your ship

I got my flytraps on Cuba. Take the 1st boardwalk to the right of the beach. At the end of the boardwalk is the venus flytrao. It's a level 7 - 12.

I too have completed every quest he asked for, yet when I talk to him he says he hasn't got anything for me.

Now throughout doing this, he did seem to accept some of the quests I had done, but not all of them...

My suspicion is that if you complete more than one quest at once, he's bugged and only accepts one of the bunch. The others sit in your list even though they were COMPLETE. If I get a chance tonight I'm going to drop/redo some and see.

I don't know about the more than one at a time, as I completed all the multiple parts of June's list for the Greer quest to crew for Jack. I did them one by one and when I got down to the last 4 or so they kept reappearing on her list. Finally gave up after I had the whole durn list to do over. LOL
I just think that the Chapter 3 Quest as they relate to getting a crew together for Jack are bugged or incomplete, but hard to tell as there has been no response to the bug reports I have sent.
