Mutiny option for guild.

This is a pirate game right? well im thinking what if there was a mutiny option for guild for those guild's that have a GM who is not preseant all the time and the name is already taken, then you have to go and make a guild name with a letter missing or the name is spelled wrong because if it, the option would only be held by officer's and no one else of the guild, just because if the whole guild decided (non-officers i mean) then that would be wrong, because one vote could decide wither or not that guild master get's booted or not.

another option would be is to see how long since the guild master was last active, being that 30-60 day's before a mutiny could take place depending on majority of the vote.

Aye - that sounds good. I was in a guild where the GM went AWOL, so I started my own. But this option would have been a great idea. We could have kicked him and taken over. The only problem is, who decides who becomes GM?

I would think it would need to be an officer. Whichever officer starts the "poll" to kick the GM would become the GM. That way if the other officers don't want that particular officer to become the GM, they don't have to vote. That way it would also be more conducive to working together for the good of the guild. The officers could talk and settle the GM question prior to a poll and that way it would go more smoothly.

In the very least, there should be a means of transferring GM.
Our guildmaster is not active at all, well, he is and he isnt. He's me, and I don't play the "GM" pirate (ie Samuel Mcmalley) much anymore (unless GM access is required).

A vote system would be one option, however what if several officers have disappeared as well? With members, this would likely be even a bigger problem.

Guild management is definately falling short... that needs upgrading.

I like this idea, although I'm a GM, some of them are bad GMs and need this! Like Chris said, there are should be restrictions so the GM is not booted for no reason.

Mutiny is always an option....But what about coming up with a better and more original guild name (I really dislike the deliberate missing letters or misspellings too, unless they are puns, and funny ones at that) In most cases though, the pirates were a very democratic lot, with every man (or woman) getting a say(unless they were in battle) so to be honest, for good or ill, you'd have to vote for the next GM if you are trying to stay true to the good ol' pirate spirit of things.

This option would be a definite must, the officer's would talk and decide who gets to be the next GM before actually starting the mutiny.

1.The GM would have to be Absent for the 30-60day period
2.The Officers would actually talk before the mutiny started and they would all have to vote to start a mutiny and then vote from a list of the current officer's (who were online at the time to pick and choose who they want to be next GM)

The current officer's on line at the time would start the vote, because you don't want to make another officer a GM if he shows he's not even on line when the vote was casted do you?

After the vote's have been casted and the officers all decided before actually starting the mutiny, who would be the next GM, it would ask you "would you like to change the name of the guild? you click yes/no"

No No No I Am A Guildmaster I Do Not Want To Be Booted Out Of My Own Guild but if they put that on there the guildmaster should have to have been rude or out for too long if they did that i think there should be new ranks like i created my own for my guild like guild apprentice and head officer

I do think that a GM should be able to "pass the torch" when they leave the game. I know of a few guilds who have lost their GM and are at a standstill. No officers can be added or removed. Its not fair for Disney to put a hold on them and not allow transfers. I mean people that joined 6 mos ago wont still be here 6 mos from now when theres no new content! LISTEN UP MOUSIE!!!

This option was only for GM's who have been absent for 30-60 days, as long as they log in during that time frame, they keep there guild. otherwise, they loose it because there not around to hold and be responsible for guild events.
