how to take a screenshot and find it on a mac?
I tried to do a search for this but I couldn't find anything. Maybe I'm just bad at searching, who knows.
If you're using a mac, how do you take a screenshot and then find your picture on your mac? I asked a guildmate how to take a screenshot, and she said F9, so I clicked that and it said that a screenshot was taken. But now I don't know where it is. So is there a different way? Or is my picture somewhere and I just can't find it? |

Yes, it can be done!

However, as I started writing this post it occured to me that the easiest way to get a "screenshot" on a Mac is "Shift-Apple-3" and I just tried it and it works perfectly! So thank you for helping me to solve this problem!

However, as I stated above, most Mac users know about "Shift-Apple-3" (complete with camera sound effects!) and those images are saved on the Desktop as .png files with Leopard 10.5.2 where they are very easy to locate. Some older versions of MacOS save the images as .pict files. Last edited by Chernabog; 06-03-2008 at 04:24 AM.. |

Thanks so much for figuring it out for me!! I'll try it next time I play. I didn't know about the shift-apple-3, so thanks.

"Shift-Apple-3" captures the whole screen. "Shift-Apple-4" brings up croshairs that you can then stretch to determine how much of the screen you want to capture but this would not be practical for Pirates. |
