Is it really significant for a 4th movie? Or is it just something put there to pretend there is a new movie?

I foresee a 4th movie in the horizon. Then again it was one of those cliffhangers that"If it does great, we'll continue with a 4th, if not it's not too dramatic to go on."

I'm a wikipedia and PotC ***** editor (and no, I'm not the unreliable editor. I use legit sources.) - the principal contributor (one of the main writers) for all Pirates articles. As far as we've been told, the Fountain of Youth was put in as a header for another film. The next film would only be put in place if necessary, and Jerry (Bruckheimer) said that it's most likely going to happen.

Jack sparrow get's to the fountain of youth only to find out someone has been there already. He discovers a door with a strange shaped hole in it that looks like a key hole. He goes on a long quest (In the movie it would probably only show him sailing all over ) Until he meets a misterious pirate ship. Jack is shocked to find out that a 13 year old boy is sailing the ship. Jack calls him over to the Pearl and finds that the boy is wearing a necklace with a strange medalion on it. Jack has a flashback of the door and realises that it's the key. Jack celebrates and lets the boy be on his crew, but the boy has no idea Jack is looking for the key. Jack notices that the boy seems very similar to him. He ask's his name and the boy tells him "John Sparrow". The boy goes on explaining that they must be cousins, and how he had found the fountain of youth. So the boy was really Jack's age, but has a boy's body. Late at night Jolley Rodger comes aboard the ship and demands that the boy gives him the key. Rodger had been following Jack ever since the skeleton captain noticed him at the fountain of youth. It turns out if he has the key he can become human again by using the fountiain, but he kept this a secret, not telling the boy about why he needed the key. He offers John a price and it's too hard to resist for the boy. He gives him the key. A few days later Jack realises John no longer had they key. Jack is terrified and turns the pearl towards the fountain of youth. He explains to John what he has done so he promises to help Jack out. Then they call up the 9 pirate lords again, and they battle for the key of the fountain of youth. Of couse, begin Jack, he doesn't tell them exactly why he wants to defeat the skeleton ship, because they would want the key too. During the battle John gets captured. Jolley rodger puts the medalion on John and dangles him over the water. Rodger tells Jack that John has left a few things out of his story. He really was the creator of the fountain of youth, but he was cursed to be a boyfor the rest of his life. If he was killed, the fountain wouldn't work anymore. As Jolley Rodger was looking at Jack, Will Turner comes from behind on the Flying Dutchman and grabs the boy. The crew of the dutchman blasts Rodgers ship and sends it to the bottom of the ocean. When John rerturns jack realises the key isn't on his neck anymore. It had fallen on the deck of the skeleton ship when Will grabbed him. The movie ends here so you have to guess what happens

It turns out that trhe water is really rum and jack drinks it all and becomes a kid again. TEH END! XD But good story!
