Server Specific Friends/Crew/Guild
I am somewhat new to POTCO but have played a few lifetimes on other games.
When you choose a server (or random) to connect to - will you still see any Friends/Guild members that are on DIFFERENT servers? Assuming so, does it then make sense to join the same server in ur going to play in true team fashion? Other games, players were on a server at a time. You needed GameSpy or other tools to track where clanmates may be...Is POTCO the same? |

you can see all friends server wide afaik,
however you cant crew with people on different servers i think. i do wish they had a bit more detailed friend info though, such as their current server theyre on, as id like to run into a few every now and then. |

You will see any/all friends who are online on your list regardless of which servers they're on, but you'll have to be on the same one to play together/crew up.
ETA: I would also kind of like to see which server someone's on (though, that'd be another feature I'd want to be able to disable if I want to play alone). Unlike some other games, if your guild/clan mates are on a different server/ocean, you are still able to chat with them in guild chat. You can only crew a member if they are on the same server as you. Whispers work the same as guild chat....you can chat on any server.

What everyone else said, plus.
If you are on different servers, even if your standing in the same "room" you will not see or interact with each other. So if your trying to meet a friend in the game for the first time to get them on your "Friends" list for example, make sure they join the same server to meet you in the same room. If you teleport to a Friend, Guildmate, Crewmember, you will be switched to the same server they are on. So if you joined a quiet server on purpose, you might ask your friends to join you, instead of you joining them.  Zeppers lvl40 http://pirates.teamofx.us |
