War Sloop Downgrade from frigate?

I can't afford any of the war ships yet, but I've try'd all the ships available to me thus far and am aiming for the war slooping, slooping rules!

I have noticed that a lot of people arn't brave enough to gun for me on a sloop though, despite the fact that I've been very successful at taking down really big ships, even by myself, with a gunner or two I'm unstoppable and my skills arn't anywhere near great by any means.
