This is Nathaniel Goldcutter, guildmaster of the guild Armada of Storms, One of the winners of the new ship names contest, Captain of the Lightning Dragon. I have an offer you guys cannot refuse! Where's the substance? Where is the flair? Where is the * pizzazz*?

....Or in plain English, where is the reason for me to join?

I mean sure, you offer pirates a promotion if they join right away, but what is the point of being an Officer in a guild with no point? Not exactly the most enticing way to reel in new members.

Instead, try giving pirates a reason to join before you offer them immediate promotions - What do you do as a guild? What is the point of your guild? What are your guild rules?

What makes your guild special?

We have very fun activities and I did not say the promotion is permanent. I will probably end it sometime. and I give out more details upon entrance into the guild. I did a guild survey and my guildmembers say they do not regret joining and the activities are fun. if it is your birthday, tell the guild officers or me and I will even have a guild wide celebration for it. Join, and you wont regret it!

Much better! However, you may want to post the details of the guild here anyway, as the first impression you make on a pirate is always the strongest.

fine. some of our activities include plundering as groups on everyones strongest ships, parties at the base, and fighting the QAR. if you want to know more about the activities, post on this thread that you do or join my guild.
