Farewell, Pirates!
As I have probably made clear in the Ashes of the Phoenix thread, I will be leaving the game. Other than for short visits, and some of the rebuilding of the Shadow Sorcerors, I don't think that it is likely that I will be coming back; at least not for quite a while. I've already talked quite a bit about my guild in the other thread, so I'm going to try not to talk too much about it in this one.
As most of you know, the reasoning behind this is simply that I don't have the time to devote to the game anymore. I've come to that part of my life where I need to prioritize things, and I just cannot have this game on my list anymore. it is hard for me, but I have decided that I must leave the game. Being in the Caribbean since 2007 has changed me. It's hard to describe, really. There is so much about me that is different. I feel that I've become more aware of people and the world. I've learned a lot about myself, and others. I've understood things that I would have never understood had I not joined. It's been four years since I joined, and yet when I look back now, it feels like it was the blink of an eye. From creating Davy Fireskull and getting his first ship, the Fugitive Hunter, to the guilds that I joined, to the Shadow Sorcerors. The mastering of Davy Fireskull, the rise of the guild that I made, when I really learned what it was to be a guildmaster. Taking on the name Tiberius, and mastering that pirate too. To now. I've watched players come and go, guilds rise and fall, I've made new friends and plenty of enemies. I was a pirate, a Sorceror, a Captain, a Guildmaster, a friend, a brother, and countless other titles. I've seen quite a bit in my time here, and it has all found its place somewhere in my mind and heart to fit itself to shape who I am now. It's a funny thing really, how something as simple as a game has changed me so. While I doubt that I can ever come back to the game for more than a small period of time after this, it will always have a special place in my heart, and so long as there are those old friends and guildmates to welcome me back, then the first chance I get to play, I'll be running back. But on that same note, there is a part of me that knows that it is time to move on, to better and bigger things. There is a lot left to do in life, you know? I suppose we'll need to just wait and see what happens. Perhaps one day you'll see a thread on here saying I'm back. ![]() As for POF, I must leave that too. Without playing the game, there isn't very much for me right here. I'll check back here periodically too, but not daily. I'll need to make sure that the Noobanners know their places (Don't expect me to abandon you completely, Ban Masters.). I want to address a few people, personally. I can't list all of them, because the list goes on and on, but I'm going to narrow it down to a few. Captain Del, I must thank you. From the instant I arrived on POF a year and a half ago, you welcomed me with open arms. You never hesitated to give me advice when I was in need of it, and you always have been willing to give me a helping hand, even now. While we have had our arguments, I still hold you in the highest respect and look up to you more than almost anyone that I have met in game, and definitely above quite a number of people I know in real life. I know that I need not ask it, but I hope that you will be able to help Dog with the reconstruction of the Shadow Sorcerors, just as you helped me. Thank you. Dog Gunmorgan, thank you as well. A lot of this I have been through already, so I'll keep this short. It was very brave of you to take the challenge of being the new guildmaster of Shadow Sorcerors. Being a guildmaster, especially of this guild, is not an easy job. Had it not been for your bravery, the flame of the Sorcerors may have died out with it's closing, but I can be at peace leaving knowing that you will take good care of it. Together with the Sorcerors that will be your officers, I know that you will take this guild to new heights and places it has never gone before, and that you will surpass me, and become on of the strongest guildmasters that have ever been in the Caribbean. You have a strong heart, and are always in my prayers. I wish you the best of luck, and thank you. Sam Bladebeard, you have always been one of my closest friends in the game, and one of my closest advisers when it comes to guild related matters. I cannot remember at all when we met, but it must have been sometime in early 2009, or late 2008. I remember inviting you into the Shadow Sorcerors in Spring of 2009, and making you Co-Guildmaster around a year later. You have always been close to me, and a person who always is able to show great wisdom and compassion to anyone, be they in the Shadow Sorcerors or not. Even though we may be going our separate ways, I want you to know that you will be in my heart forever, and that you are the oldest friend that I have made in this game. We have been through quite a lot together, old friend, and you'll always be one of my brothers in all but blood. Thank you for always being at my side, for your loyalty to the guild, and for your friendship. There are so many other people I wish to thank, but I truly cannot put them all here. I'd thank each and every player in the game that I had ever known, but I couldn't do that. I'll remember you all for a very long time to come, and I know that for some of you, this is just the beginning of our friendships. Who knew that a game could do so much to a person, eh? It seems silly, but I suppose that sometimes, things can surprise you. I've gotten quite a few surprises in this game. I'm very glad that I decided to join this game. I think that it really was worth it. Well, that's it. The tale of Davy and Tiberius Fireskull has come to a close. I'd like to say that it was a pretty good tale indeed. Farewell, Caribbean and her pirates. You'll all have a special place in my heart. May there be a stiff wind at your backs, and godspeed in all your travels! Drink up me hearties, Yo-Ho! -Davy Tiberius Fireskull |

And a damn good tale it was, indeed
![]() Now, just because I'm a pirate does not mean that I do not know how to keep possessions in order from time to time. Even through the years as I have seen many treasures pass before my eyes I haven't hesitated to leave them in their rightful place, and that is true as to you and your fate. But, I already addressed the matter of your journey; and past all the people, the guilds, and the speeches, I believe we're leaving behind one thing, aye? If it makes you sleep just the slightest bit sounder while you are away, Captain Fireskull, I've taken the liberty of having the Shadow King parked in it's own private dockyard overlooking the beautiful scenery of Tortuga. I'll make sure to remind O'Malley to wash her up right next to the Victory Shark every time I make a stop in port, and of course I'll check up on the beauty every now and again. The only thing I promise to refuse to do is touch the helm - I believe that is reserved for another man, one a day that he returns someday down the road ![]() And remember, this is never the end of your tale. Legends carry on forever, after all ![]() Fair winds (for now,) Captain Fireskull!

It's sad to see you leave, Tiberius, but real life does come first. In the months I've known you, you have truly been a great Guildmaster, pirate, and friend, and will always be remembered by many pirates and POFers. Fair winds out there in the real world!
(don't forget to pack your rum... )

Don't know if I knew you or not, don't really care. On the forums, you've always seemed pretty awesome to me. It's sad to see a fellow pirate go, but as time passes, the rest of us will be gone as well.

Fair winds Tiberius. I am truly going to miss you, mate. Over the past year that I've been in the Shadow Sorcerors I've come to know you as far more than my guildmaster, even more than my friend, but more as a brother. You thank me for accepting the challenge of becoming the new guildmaster, but I thank you for entrusting me with the honor! You have been a fantastic guildmaster, even through the hard times and I find myself hard-pressed to believe I'll ever surpass you as a leader of the guild, but I certainly will do my best to match you.
Thank you, mate for all you've done, and I hope to see you again some day. Fair winds, ~Dog |

I feel the need to address you with all the names I have called you:
Davy, DAVVEH, Tib, TIBBEH, Tub, Only once is there someone that I have met like you, and that is you. And for this reason it is sad to see someone like you go. It has to happen sometime. This generation of pirates, looters, and cutthroats will eventually move on, making way for the next generation, and so forth. There is very little I have to put left on this post, as I sent a lot of it to you in a PM :P Anyways, my point is that I and the rest of these great ladies and gents will miss you dearly, but the memory will still be there. In the words of a n00b, BAI BAI (for the moment) TIBBEH |

Ah Tib, don't make me cry... Wait, that doesn't feel right. Davy, thanks for everything you have done, mate. I know you have always been there for me. You were there when I first joined. There later, and were here until you finished.. I know I have learned quite a bit from you. Its very sad to see you leave, but I know you will go touch another part of this world, and make that place awesome too
. I don't know how many times I am going to repeat myself, but thanks.. When I first joined, I know I was kinda lost. And I believe it was you who lead me on. Everything that you have done has truly been awesome. I wish I had one of my pirates in your guild. Thats my next thing. I know that guild was great with you. You lead them the way they did, and they excelled fabulously. I think you have touched the hearts of many, including mine. I just hope the one thing you can do for me is keep on rocking, dude . Spread your joy. You are a great person, and let the world know it. *Cough now I get rights to talking about green meat cough*. Thanks for everything, mate. Godspeed. ~Slasher |

Davy, Tiberius Fireskull.
Even though I've been in your guildmate, but never met you in guild, you will always be rememered to me, I'm just sorry that I left the guild on my main, but I knew that my main was going to get mastered. But first let me share a story. When I first saw you you were posted in every thread I can find. You were posting here and there. Then before I left the game for a couple months you had your very own subforum around a year and a month ago. When I came back in April(or tried), you were, well I didn't really pay attention till October, when a freind of mine invited me to the guild. I started paying attention to what you posted in guild events, ect, even though all of them were on a Saturday(Bad day for me). When the last guild meeting I said, I could join the meeting for the FIRST time. Then I got side tracked playing MK. I wish I could of join the meeting. An hour and an half I asked a person what happened to Davy-Tiberius. And then I heard and felt a tear run through my eyes. Shocked that you were leaving. And that was my last day of being guild less. After I heard you were leaving, I decided that S.S won't be the same for me since you left. So i decided to join PnC. We will miss you. As the book Warriors always said: May StarClan light your path. -Jorden |

Too late, this sad thread already made me cry. It has been a pleasure to know one of the Caribbean's greatest legends. Although it saddens me for you to leave us, you will always be a great part of our memories. My best wishes go to you and hope you have a great time outside of the Caribbean forever. Pirates forever, mates forever.~~Jack Seaeagle~~ P.S. I understand this means The Bleeding Souls won't be finished? I guess this also means George the Noob also needs a new co-writer. Whoever gets appointed, I'm sure you'll do very well. Da noobz must livez foreva!

![]() As for GTN, I think that PIB will be able to finish it. We've already discussed where we're going with the story, and it's all just a matter of putting in into writing. |

Well Davy, This is quite sad to hear, but it happens to all of us. Some have more time here than others and some must sail off into the horizon never to look back, but the best players will always be remembered as legends of the game. You my friend, are a legend in my mind. I remember meeting you when I first started ER. You helped me by enlighting the path of a GM to me and helping me boost my convidence moving forward. The carribean needs more players like you and its a shame to see ya go. Best of luck Mr. Fireskull. You will be missed and I salute you.
