Cannon Defense lockup ?!? - Pirates of the Caribbean Online Fansite & Forums

I have not been able to play Cannon Defense since Saturday evening 1/14. Start it and the game locks up. POTC online help is not available on Sunday or Monday. Finally got hold of someone today (Tuesday). First they suggested that I reinstall POTC. After I explained that CD was not working on either my Mac or PC or test or normal they found that "some people were having problems with some mini-games". This fact is not mentioned in any game notes that I could find. I am very disappointed in the support that I received.

Typical fix one thing, break ten others... One thing is for sure. It's not just you and i reinstalled the game like 3 days ago and CD still doesn't pass the loading screen. Locks up right there until you exit. There is no way around for a player to go in so they gave you some excuses and no solution. General statements that don't help at all. The only solution is for them to work on it!

Happened to me and my friends... tried different servers and every CD spot on the islands.

When I asked the support person if Cannon Defense was working for him, his reply was " I will have to load the game and try. It is going to take some time." For a support person to not have access to one program which he is supposedly supporting is incredible.

And that should tell you about everything about the POTCO staff... Ignorant about their own game. To add to that, this problem has been out for a few days now and only I alone have personally send but reports for this issue and others. I don't know where they go but it doesn't look the problems are even being acknowledged by the staff... the. Least they can do is tell us that they they are aware of the issue... And post it on the known issues list.

Still not working as of 3PM PST Wednesday 1/18. I think POTC needs a Netflix/Bank of America treatment.

Finally a note in Game News about cannon defense being down. It only took the support team a week to realize this even though this has been reported many times.

CD seems to be fixed on Test.

Warning note from Game Notes was removed, so I thought the problem had been resolved. But I was wrong. As of 11:15 PST on Monday 1/23 when you try Cannon Defense your game locks up.
