No surprise to me it didn't seem all that good to me. Just hope it doesn't carry over to the pirates online.

Yeah, I agree Kat. Disney may start cutting losses and keep only Penguins and maybe the Pixies. Are many people even playing Toontown anymore?

I would be devastated if POTCO closed. But it will probably stay open because of the sheer amount of paying members (and it's the best MMOG Disney are running, in my opinion). I guess World Of Cars closed because it wasn't very popular. Seriously, I only heard about it when I saw one of my friends playing it when I was online on POTCO.
Hopefully it's a one-off like VMK. |

The game definitely wasn't that active. I played it a little and you don't come across packs of cars like you might on Abassa. I also think the concept wasn't strong enough to keep it going, and the time it lasted seemed right for it (IMO). I don't see POTCO or Toontown closing any time soon with the amount of players on them. POTCO and Toontown are also more complex than Cars Online, and keep more interest. Their version of our Grog Blog also hinted at another MMO coming eventually, so maybe they'll come up with another good game like POTCO and Toontown.

If this is foreshadowing for POTCo, then I would expect the game to close after a bit of time after all the POTC movies have been made. Or maybe the game will be even more popular by then with a stronger fan-base, and we won't see it close in 10 years. Anyways, the Cars movie was terrible, so I still stand unsurprised. |
