Game doesn't fit on my screen-HELP!

I downloaded POTCO and when I get to the screen that shows a dock I get stuck. It appears that the bottom one third portion of the window (it is not a WINDOWS type window, just the game screen I mean) where all the buttons are isn't showing. If I "drag" the window up to see the bottom portion, it automatically goes back to where it was before dragging it. I cannot create a character or anything. It also appears that the right hand "eighth" of the gamescreen is also missing. SAME DEAL....if I drag it over, it goes back of the edge of my monitor. I am sure it is just a setting, but it is frustrating. I play Toontown with no problems at all. My current resolution is 1440 X 980 pixels. I have tried the "smaller (2) settings below that and POTCO still displays "off monitor". Has this happened to anyone else with a widescreen monitor? Any help would be appreciated!

Using a widescreen myself (TV). Using 1280x800 works good for me. Until you get it figured out, you could always use "windowed". Good Luck.

I have the same thing on my laptop. Wont go back for me. Even tried ur "forcing out of fullscreen" thing Monk.

I run at 1920 x 1080 and then run the game in a window inside that and never have any problems, try bumping your display res up, then use windowed mode.

If your missing dialog boxes ingame and its running fullscreen then simply change the res, make it higher and drop the UI size, it should show up.

I will fire it up again later and try to get into "windowed mode". As for increasing the resolution, I cannot...1440 X 980 is max for me. Anyway, I hope I can get into the game options from where I am at that point when it goes "OFF SCREEN". I will also try F& and see what happens. Thanks for the input, catcha later..I hope!

UPDATE-

After firing POTCO up again and waiting an hour for it to update, I got into the "Make a Pirate" screen.

I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT I HAVE "FREEBIE" ACCESS. I WANTED TO TRY IT BEFORE I STARTED PAYING FOR IT!

After pressing F7, I was given "Display Options". All other option tabs were locked out. I did see where I could turn "full screen" off, but it had a lock icon on it. It won't let me turn full screen off unless I have "all access". In addition, the display settings are locked into WINDOWED MODE-800 x 600. I see a lot of resolutions for fullscreen, but was unable to pick the due to my limited membership account. Seems to me that ALL video settings should be supported for a basic membership! How else are people supposed to try the game? Too bad really, I am not gonna pay for something and HOPE it works?

All others are locked out? If you can't change game displays all that is left is to try with your Windows display drivers, if they won't let you go higher, try using another resolution 1280 x 1024. It shouldn't be a problem with what its at though.

Just want to confirm the problem again.

The problem you have is with your free account and not being able to view the entire window.

You can move the window, and see the part of the screen that gets cut off, but when you release the mouse button it snaps back to where it was.

This account is free and has no display resolutions to change ingame for either windowed/ or full screen.

I'm at work, I would jump on and have a play with my free account but that will have to wait.
Try changing your windows display resolution and that should fix it. I had a similar problem with running my game in 800x600 and a free account, i had to bump my resolution up.

Failing that, right click my computer, goto manage, click device manager, click display adapters on the right, right click your display adapter and then click properties >the top tab driver > and what does it list the driver date as?

Yes, that is my problem exactly. When on the "Display Options" menu in POTCO it appears that only one setting will highlight. The others (ones at the bottom for Fullscreen Resolution) do not highlite at all. Besides, even IF I could choose a different resolution from the in game menu, I cannot click the "SAVE" button because the frame snaps back to where it was and the button isn't visible.

Regarding my video drivers..

I highly doubt the driver needs to be updated. BUT, just in case...I updated it anyway. It searched the net fpr about 5 minutes and said I have the latest version.

Now what??

FINAL UPDATE-

I finally got POTCO to display properly. If anyone else has this problem, adjust the DPI setting in the PERSONALIZE display menu. I was running the DPI at 144 DPI. I switched it to 120 DPI which allowed more info to be displayed on the screen. Thanks for your help. POTCO is pretty cool! Thanks again!
