Fury?
I have recently gotten Fury and put my saved 3 skill points onto it. But to be frank I haven't been impressed by it at all. It says that at 3 skill points, it does about 700-1000 damage (whiled my maxxed lighting does about 800 - 1500 or something like that). So I assume when I shoot it 3 times in a row, it can at least give me about twice the damage as a single lighting bolt.
But it really does not feel like that case. It just seems for both long range and short range, it is just a lil better than my round shots, and that is when the Fury sinks in the enemy ship from its head to its tail. Also I noticed that no matter if you fire it once, or 3 times in a row, it does not really like make a huge difference. I wonder if I am using it wrong, or have you guys found a way to use Fury effectively? Any comment would be helpful. |

I don't know if it is the case, but I have found it fairly innefective against sails, but great on the hull. Gotta hit the side of the ship, not the deck. The main thing I like abut fury is that when I run out of lightning, I can still ssurvive. I only have 3 dots on it and will know better, once I put the other 2 on it.
Loot Hard!

Yeah. Or when that skellie ship gets a little too close and you need to drop it NOW.
But you have to hit the hull. |

I have 5 skill points in fury. If they hit the sails your pretty much outta luck. With good aim 12 shots will take down the jugger. Like wise you can pretty much waste all 50 shots on the jugger if you keep hitting the sails. (I'm Noto 40 with master sailing)

Yeah Fury is my "that-$*&#n-Juggernaut-just-spawned-right-$*&#n-next-to-me" solution.

Since my first answer, I've added my last 2 dots to Fury. It does a great job on the hull, fair on the deck, and worthless on the sail. Very fast load/fire rate makes it a great emergency solution too. Best I can tell is this:
Lightning - Sail Explosive - Deck Fury - Hull I still hate explosive though and have been loading it just to hit those miserable light sloops that like firing on me. As a solo crew member on a WG I will load up each side of the ship as follows: Uppers - Explosive Lower 1 - Fury Lower 2 - Lightning Lower 3 - Firebrand Lower 4 - Grapple Preloading the cannons means that you do not need to wait to switch ammo types. If running low, stand up and move over a cannon. Makes it much faster than waiting for the reload, especilly the case with Explosive. Loot Hard!

fury
I was not impress when I first shot fury. It does do that much damage I could just use lighting, but it is getting better now that I am put more skill points on it. I sort of agree with panda baby, it is not good at the beginning but it gets better when you put skill points on it.
