voodoo staff problem
I have 1 skill point on sould flay and one point on pesilence. but cant seem to use the skills. is there a secret to it?

|
To use a voodoo staff skill is sort of like using long volley on grenades.
Step 1: Hit the number for the skill (1-soul flay, 2-pestilence, etc.) Step 2: Hold down CTRL Step 3: Release when fully charged. ^^

The staff is like the gun when using take aim. Make sure the power bar is completely full to cast. Some spells take longer to cast than others. Unlike the doll, you dont just press the number key top use that skill. The Fire key is what does it.

I saw that someone posted the best place to put the skill points is in passive skills on the voodoo staff. Is there anyone who recommneds putting a bunch of skill points on active skills?

I would put 1-2 on most active, maybe 3 on a few, but I agree with mostly passive since they increase casting times, reduces spell costs, etc.

yea i really like the passives for voodoo staff
to cast u hav eto wait until the bar goes from blue to purple (charges all the way up) to cast any lower and you will get the "fizzeled" message |

Im one of those that say passives are the best way to go. It also depends on how your doing your build up....future rep points or fast kills.

Aside from another point in Blast (2 total, useful for needling hex shotted voodoo'ers) the only points I put in active skills were Wither and Flaming Skull (both maxed), nothing else you need. The reast goes in passive.
