Ok I know I'm the first person to post in a while, but I found a solution to the problem thats better then the cutthroat/padres idea. But it only works if you in an area where you can drop anchor. If a stowaway is teleporting to you without your permission, right when the box fades away drop anchor. Then they get booted off the game when they are at the loading screen.

AAARRRGGGHHH! Another three stowayays Today!!!! And this was on my Baby pirate!!!
I am so very sick of the hijackers. I know that most of them do it just to be griefers, and let me tell you, they're winning, b/c if their goal is to tick me off, then, well they won. I am ticked. Breathe in, Breathe out.....it's a game, it's a game, it's a game.... Thank you for allowing the vent. Something has gotta be done, I want to enjoy this game, not be angry at stinking griefers. Deep breaths... ARRRR |

okay so what about this idea? a walk the plank then it automatically send them to kingshead jail at the top? hard to get past those guards as well once the totem there is put in place. just an idea i like the deny/accept button though

Oh man! I really like the idea of booting these stowaways to jail in Kingshead! hahahaha. Temporary revoke their TP abilities and force them to have to make it out alive, so to speak.
![]() Jeez, makes me wish that there was also a little fish people jail in Tormenta right by where those Urchinfists hang out too. Once they do finally get around to addressing the Stowaway Issue, the Big D had better not make it too easy on these guys. |

AWKWARD moment What would be the right way to handle this? I really am in favor of the approve deny visit idea

I think the deny / accept on people teleporting to you is probably one of the better ideas for helping control stowaways. Not only for ships, but recently I was with a guildy that was showing me something in tight quarters with many higher level enemies. Then I got the message that (noob_friend_01) is coming to visit you. I just told my guildy I didn't invite them, waited for noob to get there, then told them now wasn't a good time.
Sure would have been nice if I could have just denied them off the start. There are some helpless noobs that I keep around to help out from time to time. Cause random people did that for me. But there are times I have to work on myself to stay ahead enough to help them out. Deny / Accept I believe works well because it can't be used for MORE griefing (referring to a captain walking everyone off the plank, taking all plunder for himself). BUT it also doesn't solve the problem of letting your crew members have people TP to them. The bottom line would still have to be 'know your crew' I normally don't start a crew until I've talked to everyone about it, then we'll meet at a port and crew up. There may be a lot of children or griefers, but there should be some type of defense for people with common sense. For now, if I'm in anchor range and it happens, I'll do the loading screen trick mentioned above, if out at sea, I *may* give them a chance to join crew, if not, I'll ask them to leave nicely, if they don't, I'll threaten a petition, if they still stay, I'll maroon / petition / switch servers. As far as the person who had a smaller vessel firing on 'their' enemy ship - well, it's pirates, it's competitive, I look at that as fair game. It wasn't just Pirates vs loot ships, it was pirates vs pirates vs pirates to be able to be vs loot ships. I'm sure there were pirate rivalries, it comes with the life style. But from a game / real life aspect, I'd probably send a whisper asking them not to fire on my ships again, or just sail to another area. I'm probably too nice. |

I know I am for the approve/deny idea. Sometimes you just wanna be left alone to mash buttons and widdle wood. It would be nice to just have the option to deny people instead of having to go Ghost so no one can port to you. On land or sea!!

I've got this problem now. Someone teleported to me while I was on my ship, then while out to sea, decided to logout of the game and is basically "asleep" on my ship......Well this is leading to me NOT being able to set sail at ALL.
I read once that until all the crew members are off your ship, the ship stays in play......I can't fix it, nor sell it, nor sail it. Now I have to wait for this idiot to get online to remove himself off my ship so I can go and do what I need to do. I can't do anything without a ship. Ugh! It's been 2 days now, still no sign of him. Oh and what does it mean when in your friends list, a friends name is like blacked out and you can't click on it at all do de-friend them? Was just curious. |

No waiting needed... just go sail your ship! You can repair, or board. I've done it before to lose people who TPd without permission.
MY new rule is, I wont friend someone unless Ive gone on a mission, or sailing with em. That way, you know how that person plays BEFORE you have them randomly TPing to you. |
