Because they pre-write their messages and when they paste it to chat sometimes the data doesn't go through resulting in boxes.

With the emails, you'd think with the thousands they get per day, they would bother reading at LEAST one of them. It's fairly obvious that they barely take any advice from the community, which they need to do more.
Pixie, this leads me to another thing, Disney barely gives anything to their older fanbase. You'd think we'd get at least one new feature that isn't rather juvenile (citing the Scoundrel's voice, annoying and rather degrading to listen to). We get plenty updates? This year, in a span of 8 months now, we've gotten a whopping 3 updates. They were, ranks that didn't add any new gameplay (Just shiny coins, a few new clothes, bad tattoos and scars), a disgrace of an update that contained just 1 ship and 2 (models reused from old enemies) bosses, and overpowered ships (with reused models) that come and chase you with their aimbotting explosive broadsides, ruining peaceful sailing and not really adding anything new to the game, just new (not even new types, yet ANOTHER reusal) ships. The little things that count? We haven't gotten a big update since Raven's Cove, LAST OCTOBER. If Disney makes something as small and insignificant as Scoundrels the big summer update, I can tell a lot of people are going to be very disappointed. Last edited by Lilys; 07-31-2011 at 09:00 AM.. You do have a point. The game is aimed at 10-13 year olds, I think, but there are far older players on this game as well. IMO, I don't really mind about regular updates. I quite like the game as it is, and I'll always enjoy Pirates, regular updates or not. Though I am hoping that the Scoundrels wasn't the big summer update either. If the GMs are dropping hints about bigger ships, as Joshua showed us, then this could mean that our predictions about the SOTL coming out in the summer may just be true.
I mostly agree with you. I wasn't a huge fan of the Scoundrels. But I think GM events are fun for everyone, not just kids. As for the updates, let's just wait and see. Because there have been only three large updates this year, I think we might get a big surprise later this year...

Sailing? Not even close. Yes, the voice is annoying, but just turn off the sound effects. No big deal. I play silent. No sound whatsoever. You need to learn to comprimise, and stop complaining. Don't like the Socundrel ships after you? When you reach the Second scoundrel rank, dock, and restart. And, with the infamy, they also gave us new levels. So you could level more stuff if you were mastered. This year, as it seemes, all they are bringing are major updates. I would rathar have 4 or 5 major updates than 45 little updates. |

New levels, yes, new GAMEPLAY, no. It's entirely aesthetic, just a few bug fixes and fancy badges, didn't need a whole huge update for that. I shouldn't have to COMPROMISE playing an online game. It's supposed to just be fun, not a business deal. All bringing "major updates"? Don't make me laugh. A ship and 2 bosses is a major update to you? Wow. And Scoundrels is a major update? It doesn't change the game really at all. Infamy didn't either. Meanwhile, we've been asking for things, basic things, like trading and ship customization, and we get an odd bounty hunter feature that nobody asked for. It seems to me that some players are just so starved of updates, they take any tiny thing that disney releases as the greatest thing ever to come to the game.
