I was going through a few screenshots from the old guild recently - ya know, for nostalgia and such, and I came across this one snapshot taken by our own Andrea Melissa that really struck me:
I remember seeing this image when I was only in the guild for a few weeks and remembering... wow, I'm really becoming a part of something special here, haven't I?
And even though that screenshot was taken a few eons ago, before there even was a PNC, I'm sure that if this same event was held today, and he saw us, Mr. Hench would say the same thing to us - because truly, the spirit of the old guild has not only stayed the same, but it has grown.
From such humble and struggling beginnings back in June of 2009, we have developed in to something that nobody could have imagined back then. I'm sure that if you went up to somebody and told them how great this guild would have become, they would have laughed in your face, if not spat at it. But then again, that's what drove us forward - after all, if we partners had defied what others had thought so many times before, doing it again could be done.
And sure enough, it was.
What I'm trying to say is, we are a guild that has gone from being the strongest in the Caribbean to being even stronger, in all the senses. As our pirates have grown and developed, we have as well, becoming closer and more bonded than a cat super glued to the wall. (Hey, not EVERYTHING I say has to be prolific
)
What was the reason behind this post? None, really - other than reminding my guild once again that you all have given me such a gift. I will continue to sail with you all until the ends of the earth - and no matter what, I will be proud to fly that flag over the mast.
