The Shadow Games!
The Shadow Games So, you think you're one tough Sorceror, eh? You don't? Shut it and pretend! Well, its time to prove that you're the best of the best! The Shadow Games will test your skills in ALL areas of the game. There will be ship races, scavenger hunts, trivia, endurance testing, foot races, riddles, singing (wait, WHAT!?), and of course, Player versus Player combats! Are you scared yet? You are? Wimps... just pretend you're not scared... [/CENTER]
These Games will be played over two weeks, and more time will be added if needed. There will likely be events almost every day, and each will be different. When you sign up (I will get to sign ups in a moment), you are signing up for ALL events. The Shadow Games are a tournament involving testing your strength in ALL areas of the game to prove your strength... or in common tongue, your pwnageness.  Exact event dates and elimination methods will be planned out after I see how many people are signing up. Should this event get more interest than we have space (I don't have an exact amount of spots open yet), then I will have to close signups. There will be times in these games where you will be on teams, in pairs, or solo. Some events will be harder for you than others, but I will try as hard as I can to make sure that there are no significant advantages/disadvantages for any player (i.e., I won't be making any people in their 20's solo a Thrall Captain.). Before the games start, there will be a huge party to kick-off The Games (I lost). At this party, there will be some announcements, poker, small events, RUM, and a solo from a surprise singer in our guild! This party is open to ALL players, be they Sorceror or not. If you do not wish to sign up for the games (note that they are Sorceror only), you may still come and watch our Gamers participate. The rules for each individual event will be explained when the time comes, but there are a few general rules to be explained. 1. First and foremost: PLAY NICE! Show good sportsmanship. Any cursing, insulting, excessive taunting (minimal taunting in good fun is alright, as long as everyone knows its a joke.), or griefing will not be tollerated and will result in warning, disqualification, and depending on the severity, ejection from the guild. 2. No glitching unless OKed by me or a judge. This will be rare. Using third party programs or hacking to win will result in immediate disqualification. 3. No whining! There will be some events that are a bit tough for you, but as I said before, I will try to make everything as even as possible. Don't fret, if it's hard for you, its probably hard for your opponent as well. 4. Follow instructions of judges. If you are asked to hold fire, then HOLD FIRE! Excessive ignoring/disobeying the orders of a judge will result in disqualification. 5. If another Shadow Gamer is bothering you in any way, do not hesitate to notify me or a judge. 6. Have fun! These Games are purely for fun and sport! Here are the W's. What: The first ever Shadow Games! When: Kick-Off Party is Saturday, June 11th at 8pm Eastern. The Games themselves will take place over the next two or so weeks. Where: Each event and meeting spot will be announced a few days beforehand. Kick-Off Party is going to be at the Ratskellar Tavern on the Kokoros Server. Who: You must be a Sorceror to sign up (you may use your main pirate, if it is not your main pirate in our guild), but anyone can come and watch! I'll also be needing some judges. If you are not a Sorceror but would like to be a part of these games, you may sign up as a judge by giving me the name of your pirate. I'll take five for now, but I may take more if necessary. Judges may not participate in the games. Gamers, sign up with the name of the pirate you will be using, your level... and a motto for the heck of it. Judges 1. Davy Fireskull 2. Billy Fireskull 3. Oh... I do believe that I forgot to mention this tiny detail...
The winner of The Shadow Games will have a huge party thrown in their honor. The top three players will receive gold rewards, praise, and some rum that is not mine. |

A party? Thats awesome! This is going to be a great summer time event!
EDIT: If the games take place during summer vacation, does that mean the games will be held on weekdays too? |

Yes, it will be held on weekdays as well as Weekends, usually towards late afternoon or evening on Weekdays, in case anyone has any summer classes or work.
