What update would you like on the game?

I voted for the old islands but if I had a second choice, I would vote for the emotes. Just makes the game a little more interesting. Though another quest would be good, DEFINITELY not the kraken. WAAAYYY too late for that! More like stuff from At World's End and On Stranger Tides. Or another Raven's Cove quest. Maybe they could even expand El Patron's Lost Weapons and make it much better.

That's cool, they're the most wanted updates. Here's what I think about them all:

Kraken

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of the Kraken. Sure, it's big in the films and everything, but an update involving a huge fish attacking your boat in the Uncharted Waters? Ooookay...

More emote animations

That would be fun. I sometimes get bored of the same old thing, and I haven't quite got used to the coin flip being deleted...

Detailed reports

Sometimes I do wish that the reports weren't quite so vague. It would be good to have more detailed reporting. As long as the players are mature with it.

A server with the old islands

That would be really good, since I missed them! I doubt it would happen, but if it did it would be brilliant!

More customization options

I'd like customized flags for my ship, and more options for my avatar to blossom. I don't think customizing ships will ever happen, unless you can do your own design but wait for it to be approved, or you can choose from a drop down menu. That would be good.

Ship Of The Line

I'd love it if the Ship Of The Line came out! Enough said.

Private islands

I would really like a private island, but if we look at it realistically, I think it would fill the game with too much lag. And after all, if every pirate had their own island, they'd have no more wars! Unless someone got greedy and decided they wanted someone else's island...

Teleport options

This is the thing I want most. It's so annoying when someone teleports to you with no warning, especially if you want to level alone. Grr...

I already stated what I wanted the most, now here is how likely they are to happen.

Kraken

I personally asked a GM if they were planning on adding this, he bluntly said that they were now focusing on adding other stuff to the game. (Although since they just added the QAR, which is what he may have been talking about, they mught be focusing on the Kraken again.)

More emote animations

Sadly, this is probably the update that will be added first...

Detailed reports

This is most likely never going to be added because... Well lets face it, for every mature player who would write a detailed account of what exactly happened, they are seven players who would write something along the lines of OMG THIS N00B WONT SHUT UP!!!!1!!

A server with the old islands

This is unlikely to happen, but the files still are still there so you never know...

We know that being able to express yourself is a huge part of the online game experience. We've always planned on letting players be able to make their ships as unique as they are. We plan on letting players customize their sails, masthead, and many trim pieces and accessories for starters. We've been debating having different pieces affect the gameplay mechanics. This would let players customize their ships for the style of play they prefer

This interview may be outdated, but player have found certain files that seem to point to ship (or at least cannon) Customization.

This WILL be added soon... It's just a matter of how long it takes to perfect the bugs.

This is probably the leat likely update to be added.

I voted for the teleport options. there are other things I would find helpful. One idea i had was a message option to talk to people who arent online. leave them a message and it could be like a message in a bottle. you hop on ur ship and a message pops up stating "you see a bottle with a message in it and it reads...." then the chat box shows ur offline message. I would also love for them to continue the story line... I have been here since before they started the black pearl boss battle and its time to get that story line moving.

Kraken

Personally going to be a lag fest no matter if it is a treasure map or not. Some players may be able to battle it, and some not. Raising the minimum req's would be a good idea for this, but ti would rid of some players to the game. Not seeing this as possible, although it could have been nice.

More emote animations

I really could care less for these. They should have some, but beyond what they already have, I see no true reason for them to add these.

Detailed reports

For PvP cheaters and found glitches they should have these reports for the players who all want a fair game. Beyond that, I could care less for this to ever happen.

A server with the old islands

Indeed I agree with Awesome, they will probably never come true again, but it would be pretty nice nonetheless.

More customization options

Alongside your Quote Awesome, they have also stated the Kraken was going to be part of the game a bit before this time. Not really much of a chance that they will have the Kraken or this in my perspective of where they're at. Customizable cannons yes, ships and weapons, 20 years from now if they remaster Pirates Online onto another gaming engine, maybe.

Ship Of The Line

The bugs are getting kinked out as we type and talk over how we want it. On test a friend has it. It has moved far from pirates falling through the floors and not being able to shoot enemy ships from the rear cannons. You can still fall through the stairs and there are no repair spots though, so we are about halfway done with the patches on our SotL.

Private islands

Much needed because it can be a players dojo to show off weapons and valuable loot that has been found around the Caribbean. this could also be a good place to store weapons, should it ever happen. Maybe even a good place to send trades and receive trades, but it has to be incorporated first.

Teleport options

has been needed since the start of the game, took about two years to get these for ships, give it about another half of a year and it shall be done. supposing POTCO doesn't watch us play and laugh when our friends just TP straight to us.

Have to agree with you about the Black Pearl Story, I have been here since almost the founding days, and this game has ran out of quests for me. I would also accept more PvP stages, but I guess beggars can't be choosers. Even though this is our game, and this is our Caribbean.

sounds like you have been around almost as long as I have. I missed founder by approximately 6 - 8 hrs. if only the wife had mentioned it sooner i would have the golden name tag.

Must have visiting permissions, like ships. And also alot of customization, and naming. If this ever happens and you see an island called Fort Nazo, you're free to be on it.
