Can't kill fly trap for Doll quest

I've got everything but a flytrap leaf for the doll quest. The thing just kills me over and over. What method is best to take one out?

I did it myself after dying several times, but asking for help from friends or people around you is affective. I help my friends out with that one all the time.

It depends on where you're trying to do it. The ones on Tortuga might be a bit easier to take out then the ones in Cuba (although that might just be personal preference).

But the good news is that they typically don't attack you until you attack them. Wherever you go, take a look around and look for the lowest level one.

If you have a pistol that usually works well (but missing might be an issue). Poison shot would be better. But a simple tactic might be to get right in close to it and hack away with the cutlass, getting pegged by the poison spits gets annoying since the range is so big. Bring a potion or two.

Better yet, bring a friend.

I had trouble killing them on my first account when I was doing the doll quest. I left that part for last, and took my time doing the rest of the quest, and made sure I leveled up by the time I had to kill the Fly Trap.

for you level probably it would be wise to find a high lvled person around 10-15
then let them take you to mistymire or cuba....

I usually go at them with Venom and Bane shot in the pistol. If you have the aim skill that helps as well.

The last time I did it, I lucked into a higher-level group attacking the flytraps. I shot it once with my pistol, and got the leaf.

I killed one by the hut in Cuba by Tia. It was weird, he couldn't hit me but I could shoot him all day. Go to the right side of the hut when you first walk up stairs and you can just shoot through the hut and hit him, there should be one in the water at the left of the hut. He could never hit me but I could just shoot through the hut and hit him.

Gotta love a glitch at times.

Arrr, that glitch doesn't work anymore. Lol.
Anyone else got any ideas on how to kill fly traps?
I'm trying to level up my other character, and I just can't get the fly trap =[

The best way is to attack as a group if you are a low level. The gun works great from a distance, but you still take damage. The cutlace works well very close up. I haven't tried magic on them.

u enter the swamp then shoot it
then u leave the swamp and come back in
then the flytrap will not atack
