Looking For A Huge, Established Guild
Hi, everyone,
The guild I have been in since approximately summer of 2009 has slowly winded down. I was a lieutenant officer in it, but bowed out a couple weeks ago due to lack of activity. Does anyone have any recommendations for a large guild I can court to guild me? I want it to be big, active, attend League of Guild meetings, and preferably have consistant weekly guild events. Any information on which large guilds are still very active or WHICH large guild is still the most active will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Roger Cresthawk |

Best choice for you is to look around. There are plenty of Large or Big Guilds out there, but not all of them be a good fit for your particular playing style and tastes. Also there are the "Not-so Big" but very active guilds that might fit your requirements and such.
My suggestion is browse and see what you like. Because many guilds will come with their hand raise and will scream "Pick Me!". Best of luck with finding a guild that suits you. |

Aye what TSC said, check these forums! There are many, many fine guilds!
The guild I am in is Shadow Sorcerors. We currently have 404 members, and we have monthly meetings and weekly raids. But I'm not screaming at ya to join, because there are many guilds out here suited for you. Here is a link to our sub-forum: http://www.piratesonlineforums.com/f...play.php?f=180 |

Aye, what the others said. There are lots of great guilds here on the forums that are wonderful. Also, don't just look for a big guild. Quality, not quantity as many say. Obviously, if you can have both, thats great, but just because a guild is huge, doesn't make it great, aye?
Just go browse around the Guilds and Clans section of the forum and check out some of the guilds there. You'll find one that suits you there for sure. And take your time, mate. Find a guild that is right for you the first time so you don't need to go hopping. Best of luck finding a guild! |

Aye, what Dave said, quality over quantity. Look around POForums, there are plenty of guilds to choose from.

My guild, Peaceful Souls 2 ( PS2 ) is one of the newest members of the LOG.
We have like 75 people, maybe? And we have a great crew of members, vet's and officers. ( quality > quantity ) It's fairly easy to become a vet. Just stay active for a few days and be kind. ( ask b4 tp ) and you will be promoted. to become an officer, you must do the same, but for a few weeks. Once your an officer, you can attend the weekly meetings with Sea Angel ( GM ). You will be one of two people to participate. I can PM you a code, and if You see someone by the names of Davy Mcwrecker, Nathaniel Sunmorgan, Lucman Von Shannon, or Sea Angel ( goes by Sea ), just get us to guild you. Its active hours are about 8:00 EST - 12:30 EST. Our guild motto is : Peaceful Souls 2 - We're anything but. ~~~~~ If you do decide to join this guild. ( even though ts unlikely ), you will probably be an automatic vet. for being on the POForums. And if you think about this guild, but you join the Shadow Sorcerors, well... :jk: :jk: So, can yeh handle us? |

As others have stated, don't be afraid to explore your options aside from the guilds you're used to. If you are used to being a part of guilds closer to maximum capacity, then you might want to try and explore options in more moderately-to-small sized guilds - after all, you won't know how it'll fit you until you try.
And it's a much better idea to look around the forums, than to have other guilds come here and advertise to you. I could sit here and make you think my guild would be perfect for you, but only you can truly make that decision. Scan around the forums in the guilds and clans section (don't limit yourself to the subforums, either,) and see which guild you think would be best for you based on their rules, activity, organization, etc. etc. If you become interested in a particular guild, you may want to try private messaging the guild's Guildmaster to get a few more details about the guild. Best of luck, mate!

Mate, if ye aint in a guild yet, I have two guilds to recommend. The first is Emerald Regiment, which has lost a millionth of a smidge of activity over the last month or so. ER is still great, tho.
the second is a smaller guild, The Tree Watch. it is a very nice guild, small, yet very enjoyable. if ye wanna join any of these guilds now or in the future, dont hesitate to PM me. Hope this helped, Hector |

I have something to say here.... large guilds are your preference aye? in my experience the largest guilds out there (the infamous INFERNO for example) tend to be full of guild hoppers and rude people that don't really care about anybody or anything but themselves so maybe you should consider looking into a smaller to medium sized guild I have pirates in several guilds of different sizes... Shadow Sorcerors is mid sized we are in the process of clearing out in-actives right now so we will get a little bit smaller but we are generally pretty active on weekends (even though you can usually find me on weekdays too) but we are a tight and close family and we have loads of fun. another great guild I am part of is Partner's in(N) Crime. they are smaller than SS but they are of the same quality as the sorcerors (and slightly more notorious) they also have a strong family atmosphere. another good one is the Emerald Regiment they are fairly large and very active... again a strong family atmosphere also if you want to try out a smaller guild full of awesome crazy people.. you may look into the Pyxie Pyrates...
there are just a few suggestions of guilds I know personally are fantastic family based guilds who have a lot of fun even though they may have small numbers. also as many others have already said... take your time and look around at the guilds and clans section here on the forums and you will be sure to find a great guild that is right for you! Good luck in your search mate and fair winds to you. Dog Gunmorgan~proud Senior Officer of the Shadow Sorcerors! |
