Murky Hollow - Help?

I need to defeat the 8 lv. 12+ Skeletons in Murky Hollow. I was wondering if any one could help me?

I wish I could help but I am in the same boat so to speak. I am on the same quest. I have tried using my cutlass, pistol, and doll but once you attack one then they all come. My suggestion is to get with others and let them keep the other three busy while you take down the Level 12+. Kani

Hm, I'm trying to remember what quest this was. If it's the one I'm thinking of, I remember staying far away and shooting one of the brigands, sometimes two would come over but I managed because I had a healer. So I would suggest bringing a friend or two with you. =]

If they're all coming at you, then you're attacking the wrong group!

Enter Murky Hollow via the Governor's Garden, instead of through King's Run. Once inside the cave, go down the slope and then around the bend to your left. Stay close to the lefthand cave wall and you'll safely pass a little group of 3 Undead. Proceed down the slope behind them. You'll see Jolly Roger ahead, with a group of Undead dancing around in front of him. THIS is the group you want to attack.

Stand at the bottom of the slope and shoot one of the two Brigands you see in front of JR. Only the one you hit will come at you. You may still need to be quick with the tonic, but you should be able to survive. If worse comes to worse, run back up the way you came. The Brigand will eventually Disengage and be easy pickin's the next round. Then just lather, rinse, and repeat until you have the required number.

Thanks for the tip I will try that. I think I tried the second group before but I believe I tried taking out one or two that were away from JR and they all came at me at once. I never tried disengaging and then coming back. Great idea! It is getting frustrating because no other quests will come up until I get that one done but at least I am leveling up my weapons in the meantime. Thanks again! Kani

I would always just lurk until higher level pirates came along, and attacked them first. =P
The game can be kinda weird.. they have you take on enemies that are a LOT higher, and then they will have you go after really simple ones.. =/
