Will Infamy Be Fun Forever?

I just want to take the opinions of people for this. We all see how POTCO releases an update, and everyone is so so excited! We're all so happy when its released, and then, almost always, after a few weeks, it gets boring, or old, or repetitive. I just want to ask all of you, do you think Infamy will last, and that it will be one of those things that people always will try to rank? As in, will people always be trying to get high ranks in Infamy, and get all those rewards and such, or will it be really exciting for a month or so, and then become dead?

In no way am I saying that Infamy is a bad update or anything, I just want to ask you all if you think that it will be an update that will always be popular.

I for one, think that it will be. I think it will last, as people that are already big on PvP and SvS will want to hold their ranks, get their badges, and get those reward items. And then new people that come into the game will see this, and start training their Infamy, trying to get all those cool badges and other things. I think that it will be something that will go last, and it will not get too "boring."

So, what do you guys think?

I think it will be like Fishing. Once you master it, or in this case achieve rank 7, you won't be doing it anymore. I will probably continue with it a little bit, just to keep my ranks up, but not as much as I am using Infamy right now.

Srry potco, COMPLETE rip off of call of duty black ops. Earning ranks? the +(number) thing in yellow whenever it says u sunk a ship? thats black ops! RIP OFF! But its 1800's style black ops :P i dont think it would last because when it first came out in 09 08ish it was a BIG hit, then it went straight to backseat of the van. In my opinion, the only thing i look forward too is new ACTUAL cutscenes and new bosses that can talk like blackbeard,davy jones etc.

I just wish they would put the kraken out and the GMs would stop making 10 year olds get excited. But for now, privateering is a hit.

Well yes and no disney was smart and made the lose 1 infamy a day so you have to keep playing but no because people are already at lvl 7 well at least only top privateers so it means not every person will level up that fast. But we will see

Well i think the idea will hold becuase it isn't like normal fighting, were anyone can kill skeletons, but with infamy your always going to have a challenge. And the fact that you have to maintain it is an added plus.

Personally I love PvP and this gives me an actual reason to PvP .

I think it could last but most of you probably know I'm not big into SVS or PVP but I haven't had a chance to try it really maybe this weekend I will try it out and give my actual feedback so I wont say weather it is good or bad but I would love to see an update that the non-pvp'ers can enjoy.... for example STORY QUESTS THAT ARE WORTH THE TIME TO DO!!!

In my opinion they need to increase the # of points required to rank or decrease the # of points gained in SvS because there is already Admirals after 2 or 3 days infamy came to live...

I hope it lasts. Leo has a point, I have also noticed admirals not long after it was released

Well as I've said before, It is more fun Getting to the highest rank than being the highest rank. Once a lot of players reach the highest rank they might lose interest but svs/pvp will not get boring for those who like it.

I love it at the moment, but I agree that it will be fun for awhile but will feel like it's getting old in a few months.
