New weapon skills needed ! advanced new names and attacks!

I think there are not enough weapon skills in POTCO, and the old ones are getting boring. The new weapons do give new skills, but are not permenant, and can not be used without that weapon. There should be new weapon skills for each weapon!

Cutlass - (there should be more skills like bladestorm, looks epic, and do lots of damage)
- Cursed Stab deals 1500 dmg. Curses enemy for 4 seconds (enemy take more damage, deals less dmg).
- Freeze strike freezes enemy for 0.7 secs every time your attack hits.
Pistol - Acid shot (the venom shot was great, but 95% of the damage was from the shot itself, not the venom, which totally takes the point off it. The acid shot, however, will be opposite. the shot itself will do very little damage, but the acid will do 500 damage a second for 3 seconds (add 50 damage/sec and 1 sec duration per rank)
- Flame Shot or flame shot (not sure which one better), like acid shot, the ammo will do very little damage,while the fire will do 95% of the damage.
- Twin Lead Shot fires 2 lead shots at the same time. Deals (lead shot damage) x 1.8

Doll - Flaming Curse (better name needed) remember when you see animes, where ppl put some kinda star shaped spell on the floor where one stands? This will be similar, except there will be 3, not 1 of these weird patterns. 1 on top of the enemy, 1 in the middle of the enemy, 1 on the ground where the enemy stands. Instead of being made of light, these patterns will be made of fire (ok i admit, this is kinda un-POTCO like... but whatever lol). Then they they create a big flaming explosion! (kinda like a seige charge going off, that kinda "big".
Deals 1000 damage, burns the enemy for 6 seconds.
-Icicle storm many icicles fall onto an area with the enemy (hit range - 2 metre radius). similar to vipers nest, the more enemy pressent in range, the more enemies it will hit, each enemy will be hit by 4 icicles, dealing 200 damage each, and slows the enemy down by 25% for 6 seconds.
- Energy Drain Enemy deals half damage, and receives double damage. You gain 200 life and 100 voodoo per second for 10 seconds.
- Defense Ward damage to you is reduced by 60%, lasts 3 seconds

Dagger/throwing Knives - Twin Venom Throw : throws 2 venom dagges at enemy (they fly as fast as throwing knives and point straight at enemy, not spinning toward the enemy like asp)
- Delta Assassin Throw Throws out 3 knives (like a bullet). Travels very fast.

Grenades - Poison Cloud Blinds enemy for 3 seconds, poison damage 800 damage/sec for .7 secs.

Staff - Fireball : shoots a fireball at enemy (fireball explodes upon contact with enemy and deals splash fire damage to any other enemies near by)
- Lightning Charge shoots a bolt of lightning at enemy.
-Divine Justice (more POTCO like name needed) - heals 2000 life to all pirates around you. It's like captain's resolve - staff style!!
- Permafrost : release a blue supercold gas cloud. Freezes the ground in from. All Enemy standing on that frozen part can not move for 5 seconds.
- Stream of Life similar to divine Justice, but only heals 500 life. However, it is a lot faster to cast, and take up significantly less voodoo power. In other words, great for any boss that deals constant damage.
- Shockwave Shoots out a shockwave, cracks the ground and disables all enemies nearby for 6 seonds.
- Meteor (not sure how to spell it lol) Shower summons countless small fireballs that fall to the ground around the pirate within 3m radius.

You may wonder, why have healing spells for staff when we have them for doll? well, for one, the doll is very inefficient. It is hard to heal in populated places, as you cannot see who needs the heal, unless you only heal that same person. Also, it is hard to attune players you want in populated places, you often attune someone else instead by accident. Lastly, you can only heal 5 players, with staff, you can heal tons of ppl!


Staff Aura
- Cursed Aura You receive 200% more damage from any negative status effect damage. Your attack damage increases by 50%.
- Aqua Aura decrease fire damage by 50%, increase ice damage (curse ice, silver freeze etc.) by 200 and duration by 2 seconds.

So, how can we get these skills? most of us have weapons at lv 30 and would not appreciate having to retrain skills again. So, who says they have to be unlocked by skill point? They would be bought at specialists (ex sword skills at blacksmith, staff skills from Tia Delma). Like all skills, they have a level requirement.
These store skills also have ranks, like normal skills. The higher the rank, the more it costs, and higher level required. You must buy the previous rank before you can buy the next rank.
ex. Divine Justice rank 1 : require level 20, $20000
Divine Justice rank 2: require level 22, $22000
Divine Justice rank 3: require level 24, $24000
Divine Justice rank 4: require level 26, $26000
Divine Justice rank 5: require level 28, $30000
If I have rank 1, and i want say rank 3, i would have to buy rank 2 first, before I can get rank 3.

Quests will also reward skills.
What do you think? (if you have suggestions for new weapon skills, plz post them here! I want to send an e-mail to disney including all our ideas, and you never know, they just might make it!)

I really want to say Quasar Blast and Supernova for grenades, too bad this is a pirate game, since in that time they shouldn't have known about quasars and supernovas

I like it, it is thoughtful and creative. We have enough skills though, and once everyone gets settled in with these new skills, they will soon become old and someone will say, "we need more skills." Good list, but we have enough already...

Which is why they constantly need new skills!
I dont mean like 10554615346 skills a month, just 1 new skills every 1 or 2 months (for 1 weapon at a time, not every weapon) will keep everyone happy.
kinda like, sure we have enough stuff in game, so we dont need new stuff. Well no! lol. New stuff in game is still needed!

Another idea to build onto yours. Perhaps when you defeat an enemy, a quest for a new skill may randomly drop. This would make it so you can't just go to the store and get the new skill. Sure, there could be store skills you can buy, but maybe you can get some that will drop for you, so you will need to keep fighting if you want that certain skill.

I've got an idea for a new skill. Necromancy.

Similar to Jolly Roger, pirates would be able to raise their dead enemies. After killing an enemy, their body would stay, and you would take control of the enemy. You would be able to use all their skills, attacks, and level up the necromancy skill to summon enemies. the more enemies killed with this skill, you level up. summoning bigger, badder enemeis

lol, I thought about that too, and loved the idea, but our POTCo developer friends may not embrace it, since that would mean tons of new skills, and they would have to blow up their brains thinking about it
Or unless these also have ranks, so a recipe for a skill would turn into 5 recipes for skills, which would be both fun and easier on the developers.
