The Flower
The wood tumbled down, splitting when it hit the ground. Pirates ran away, flustered at the sudden event. As the building began to collapse, two pirates were inside. One of them pushed the other out of the way, just before the building collapsed right onto the pirate. The second pirate, safe from harm's way, looked back... only to find his friend nowhere to be seen. He cried out into the world, not caring who heard him. His friend had died... because of a natural-occurring accident. He rummaged through the rubble, tears sliding down his face, looking for his friend... to no avail. Where he had last seen his friend was a single flower sprouting from the rubble.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That's just the beginning of it. I know it's kinda short, but I was kinda pressed for time at the moment.. don't worry. It will (hopefully!) have a great plot.  ~CM

Sorry I haven't written more before - I really hadn't had the drive to do it.
Chapter One He walked away from the disastrous scene, sobbing quietly to himself. He constantly looking back at the single flower that was the only life at the scene he left behind. Soon, the flower was out of sight. He walked in silence towards the tavern on the other side of town. Still sobbing, he sat down in the tavern and put his head down on the table. "What's wrong, mate?" "..." "I'm gonna ask again - what's wrong, mate?" "I... I..." "Does it have to do with the building collapsing across town?" "Y... yes..." "Did anyone die? Nobody seemed to know." "Y... yes..." "I bet you were close to that person, too, weren't ya?" "Yes..." He picked his head up and looked at the man. He was an older man, wearing a white outfit and a hat that looked like he was ready for a party. "Who... who are you?" "Well, y'don't know who I am?" "No." "Th' name's Jensen. People call me Jingleheimer Jensen, but that doesn't matter," he explained. "All that matters is helping you feel better." "How's that possible? I lost my best friend..." "Ah, so that's why you're so down," he noted in understanding. "Well, I think there may be someone who can help." He perked up. "Really? Who?!" "Haha, hold your horses. It's very difficult to get to her, and she may not help you even when you travel all the way there." "I'm willing to try anything." "Okay. First, I need to know yer name." "Well, I... Jack." "Okay then, Jack. First, you must..." Jensen started, but Jack soon passed out from the combination of shock and depression. ----------------- In his dream, he was in a foggy land. He looked down and saw the world below him. He realized the fog was actually clouds, and he was standing in them! "Wh... where am I?" Jack asked in exasperation. "You are in the world above, Jack," a voice said. Jack spun around and gasped at who he saw. ~~~~~~~ Comments? Thoughts? Think you know who the voice belongs to? Post all that here!

Hmm is it Captain Sharktooth? No, I kid mate, maybe Grace? I haven't see her in the story yet, and I noticed you used Jack instead.

Chapter Two
"You are in the world above, Jack," a voice said. Jack spun around and gasped at who he saw. "H... how....?" "When I died, some great power from somewhere beyond granted me a chance to live again. I'm not sure how you could help me... but... I know it has to do something with the floral life you left behind." "That flower?!?!" Jack gasped. "Yes, I suppose so," she replied. "What am I supposed to do with it? If I take it with me, it will probably die before I can save you..." "Well, first... you should go see the Voodoo Warlordess that lives somewhere in the mountains on Tortuga, but I'm not sure what you would do once you get there," "Well, that's a start," "You must wake now..." she said solemnly. "No! I need to be..." he started. "Goodbye, my friend..." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ He woke up hearing Jensen ramble on and on about what he suggested to do. "...then you need to invent a portable telescope with 3.4 inch wheels and a cheese dispenser..." "I know what I need to do," Jack stated decidedly. "Oh, good. I thought you died. Always sad to see someone a lot younger than me die before me." "We must go... to the mountains." "Oh, that's easy. Which?" Jack whispered to Jensen in a language that many couldn't speak. Jensen, upon hearing the location in that particular language, gasped more loudly than he should have, and attracted a lot of unneeded attention.

I plan on writing at least a chapter every morning, maybe some later in the day. My favorite part about this story is the chapters are short and easy to read, so it's easy to type.
