Black Pearl battle still bugged

I have successfully recovered the Black Pearl five times now, but it took three tries before I received credit for it!

A group of players entering as a crew will not receive credit for winning the battle. A couple of friends and I took turns starting the battle alone, and then the others teleported to the person who started the battle. Done that way, we each received credit for completing the quest.

As my two friends had pirates which had already recovered the Black Pearl, they used their bigger pirates when they were not the person starting the battle. Unfortunately, we do not know if one of the pirates who teleport in would be given credit as well if they had not yet completed that quest.

neat i always wondered if some people on your crew needed the BB if they were the crew if they would get credit

Hi Marrni, thanks for the info and your help last night. And yes, my friends who
teleported to the person doing boss battle also got credit for it. Maybe you or
Darkrage could write a step by step guide here so that everyone can win the
boss battle and hope devs also read so they could fix the bug in doing boss
battle with crew. Thanks again!

We were glad to help, it was fun and fast! After last night's battle, we now know that anyone who needs to complete the battle will get credit for it, not only the person who entered the battle solo.

How to recover the Black Pearl:

Gather a group of people who plan to battle together.

One person who needs to do the battle should make sure they are friends with everyone going, do not rely upon just crewing.

The person calling the battle should enter it alone, then the others should teleport to him/her immediately.

There will be a short cut scene, hitting Escape will bypass it. If anyone in the group does not bypass it, the whole group will view it.

Once on the ship, pirates with the Voodoo Staff should defeat the sailors while other pirates use their dolls for health. Wither is the best staff attack for this. The soldiers' levels will be in the mid to high 30s.

After the soldiers are defeated, 4 high level Light Frigates appear, use Thunderbolts or Fury to sink them.

Next, someone has to sail the Black Pearl past a series of bridges which need to be destroyed. The other pirates shoot the fortesses which control the bridges. Here either Thunderbolts or standard shot is good.

After the bridges are destroyed, the Goliath needs to be sunk. The Pirate sailing should announce which side he/she wants to line up so the Pirates can gather on that side of the ship. Anyone with Explosive should load it immediately, so that it can be fired as soon as the Goliath is in close range. Anyone without Explosive should make sure to reserve some of their strongest cannon shot.

Once the Goliath is sunk, everyone will teleport out. At this time, anyone who needed to Recover the Black Pearl will be directed to Visit Jack Sparrow.
