Expansions in game and raids?

I don't have time to elaborate, sorry if this sounds vague but:

Do you think the game should have specific areas that you can ONLY enter when you reach a certian level or a certain point in the story quest? Like you can only enter Isla Cruces when you are at Story Chapter 3: The Rise of Davy Jones. ( Made up.) I'm wondering what you think, and you have to be certain levels in game to reach certain areas.

Also, raids on certain areas that you have to defeat all enemies without dying. KO doesn't work and you have to defeat the boss enemy as well and you get a special item, such as a weapon, or an item to enhance your weapon.

Give me your ideas, I'll get back to you.

On the first idea, I thought that was Raven's Cove mines... I mean, I know people can still TP in and such, but still.

On the second idea, I think that sounds amazing for a boss battle or something. Or perhaps a lookout task. But of course, if it were a lookout task, you'd either get the same rare weapon over and over or you could amass many rare/famed/whatever weapons very easily. - shrug - Good ideas, but you're right, they're vague.

Here's an example of a raid. Of course, this will go up to level 60 caps, because level 40 is WAYYYY to small. Please take note that you can heal others, unless it goes against the limits, and that knock outs do not work, you are auto sent to jail at zero health. Also, please take note that the high health that these enemies have will offer great rewards and challenges to pirates. Any comrades that die can not return. Weapon skills are at 50 max.

Location: Underworld Caverns

Story: As Jolly Roger's power grows in the Caribbean, he has summoned the most powerful beasts in the Caribbean any man has seen, the Legendary Dragons. Now as the dragons stirs, the pirates know that these are not mythical beasts anymore, but mass weapons of destruction for Jolly Roger. The dragon Scascor along with his rider the Undead General Bascor are in this cavern. The Undead General Bascor is the user of lightning, and has perfected it over centuries of walking among the living. As they reside in the caverns, their power continues to grow and grow. Now, you must journey into these caverns and destroy this beast and his commander, or another piece of the Caribbean may fall to Jolly Roger.

Objective: Defeat all enemies within the Caverns and defeat Scascor and Bascor.

Limits: All weapons allowed.

Level Range: 50-55

Amount of People: 10-15

Run time: 40-70 minutes.

Enemies within Caverns:

Undead Warrior: Level 50
Health: 20000
Weapons: Dual Bladed Sword
Attacks:
All of the Cutlass Combos
Dual Bladestorm - Deals 10 continuous sword moves and deals around 2000 damage.
Brawl - Stuns opponent and deals 300 damage.
Taunt - Provokes the enemy, decreasing accuracy.
Dual Sweep - Knocks down all enemies surrounding it and deals 400 damage from each blade hit.
Final Stand - Used at less than 200 health, the skeleton shall deal a 20 combo sword move onto a player and deal around 3000-4000 damage, and then die on its own.

Undead Samurai: Level 55
Weapons: Single Bladed Sword
Health: 25000
Attacks:
Brawl - Stuns enemy, deals around 500 damage.
Taunt - Provokes enemy and weakens accuracy.
Samurai's Fury - Increases attack by 30% for 20 seconds.
Bladestorm - Deals 5 attacks and will cause around 2000 damage.
All of the Cutlass Combos

Dragon of Sorrows: Level 50
Weapons: Tail, claws, and head.
Defense: 20% (Defense decreases damage taken by the given percent.)
Health: 50000
Attacks:
Tail whip: Uses tail to whip and hits you for 2000 damage.
Fiery Breath: Breaths fire and causes 2500 damage, and fire burning damage.
Claw Strike: Uses claws to strike and deals 3000 damage.
Final Stand: Only if at below 300 health. Uses fire to continuously breath upon the player for 20 seconds. When 20 seconds are over it shall die.

When all enemies in the Caverns are defeated, the path to the Boss Arena shall be shown.

Boss Battle

Bosses have break attacks. Break attacks have their own health bar when they are used and must be put to zero health by the comrades before a certain amount of time has passed or a certain move is used. Almost always, failure to break the attack will result in a lost comrade immediately.


Enemies: Undead Dragon Scascor: Level ??
Weapons: Claws, head, tail.
Health: 100000
Attacks:
Tail whip - Uses tail to strike and deals 3000 damage.
Tail Grab (Break Attack - 20000 health) - Grabs a player and swings player in air, deals 1000 damage. The person grabbed can not use any weapons or tonics.
Tail Throw - Used when comrades fail to break the attack. Throws the comrade at a wall and deals 99999 damage.
Inferno Breath - Summons an inferno of fire onto any player that's in the area when the flames are used. Deals 3000 damage and fire duration damage.
Claw Grab(Break Attack - 20000 health) - Grabs a player and makes the unable to do anything while in the position.
Claw Throw - Used when player fails to break the attack. Throws the player into a wall and deals 99999 damage.
Claw Strike - Uses claws to strike the opponent and deals 2000 damage.
Broken Throw - Drops player and deals 1000 damage for being dropped on the ground.

Undead General Bascor - Level ??
Weapons: Single handed Blade
Health: 150000
Defense: 10%
Attacks:
Undead Summoning - Summons 3 Undead Warriors/Samurais.
Dragon Summoning - Summons 3 Dragons of Sorrow
Thunderbolt - Uses thunder to strike the opponent. Causes 2000 damage and a 10 second stun.
Light of the Dark (Break Attack - 20000 health) - Uses a bright thunderbolt to incase a player in. Every 10 seconds the player will take 1000 damage until dead. All attunements are shattered while in this thunderbolt and any attunements made after that are shattered immediately.
All of the Sword Combos
Lightning Bladestorm - Uses bladestorm to deal 2500 damage and stuns you for 5 seconds.
Shadow Lightning - Lightning strikes all enemies within the range of this attack from their own shadow and deals 2000 damage and 5 second stun.
Lord of Lightning - Increases defense and attack by 20% for 30 seconds.
Lightning Bolt - Uses when he's on Scascor. Deals 1000 damage and 3 second stun.

Boss Battle Part 1 - The Fall of Scascor

Objective: Put Scascor to zero health. All comrades dead will result in failure. The Undead General Bascor is riding the dragon but you can not hurt him at this time.

Boss Battle Part 2 - Bascor's Fall

Objective: Put Bascor to zero health. All comrades dead will result in failure. The Undead Dragon has already perished.




Obtainable Loot
Scascor's Fury(Legendary Cutlass) - 145 Attack.
Abilities:
Inferno Blaze Rank 5 - Summons an inferno around you.
Bloodfire Rank 5 - Damage grows after defeating enemies.
Endurance +6
Requires Level 48 Cutlass


Dragonbone Blade(Famed Cutlass) - 120 Attack.
Abilities:
Bloodfire Rank 3 - Damage grows after defeating enemies.
Inferno Sweep - A sweep that causes a wall of fire to circle around you.
Endurance +3
Requires Level 40 Cutlass

Dragonbone(Rare) - Used to craft into your weapon. Enhances attack by 5%.

Lightning's King(Legendary Cursed Blade) - 160 Attack.
Abilities:
Lord of Lightning(Break Attack) Rank 3: Increases attack and defense by 20% for 20 seconds.
Lightning Bolt (Weapon Skill) Rank 5: Deals 1000 damage to enemy being striked.
Endurance +10
Requires Level 50 Cutlass

That's pretty much what I meant by the cave raids. I'll put in the expansions I'm talking about either today or tomorrow.

Interesting. Nice ideas you have. And this is based on the "Raids" option in the Opinion Polls of the end of 2009? But I'd have to disagree on dragons. Maybe they could be called that, but they should be a different mythical creature based in the Caribbean.... Like some huge sea serpent? And having Undead Samurais... lol.... strange (knowing of course that this is just an example). I'd like Undead Sorcerors (summoning spirits), Alchemists (using potions, magic and chemistry), Grenadiers, Hand-cannoneers, Mages and Shamans (staves), etc. in the game. Nice though.

I like the idea of some areas being open to only high level pirates and having some really high level enemies in there. That would be nice if Disney did more stuff like that in the future. Kind of like Ravens Cove I guess.

The enemies should have been higher and way more of them on Ravens Cove but it's a start.

Here's my idea of what I meant by expansions:

Story Quest for background lore so you know what I'm thinking about.

Story Quest 3: The Great Awakening


Lore: Pirates have told tales for countless decades, spinning yarn with friends and even foes. The legends be far from the truth in the Caribbean, but then again nothing in the Caribbean is put as "normal."

As Jolly Roger's grip on the Caribbean is weakening, all hopes of him being repelled far enough from the Caribbean are now demolished. Jolly Roger have revived the one beasts powerful enough to aid him in his quest, he has revived the spirits of the dragons. What are dragons? - Legend has it that all of the Caribbean was once ruled by the dragons, each one inhabiting the islands and calling it home. That is until one fateful day a pirate had docked onto one of those islands. When he saw the dragon, he fired straight at the head, instant killing it. From that day the dragons have retreated to their one home, the Isle Of Dragons. Now, Jolly Roger has found this isle, but not only that, he has recreated and revived these mass weapons of destruction for himself, to rule the Caribbean and have all of us become his eternal slaves in his army. Jolly Roger's rule of the Caribbean is becoming stronger at the second, as each invasion begins to bring more and more dragons, the pirates are beginning to fall back more and more each time. If the dragons are Jolly Roger's key in this battle, then the only way to repel Jolly Roger, is to destroy the dragons......

The legend goes is that the King Dragon Oscareon ruled all of the dragons. He could control all of the elements, and use them in deadly ways. The reason why he ruled was simple, you either listen, or you die. Oscareon is located at the center of the Isle of Dragons. The other four islands are other islands where dragons inhabit, gaining power and strength and making the island become their stronghold. The four other islands are, Island of Sorrows, Dragons' Den,Kashtorac's Stronghold, and the dreaded Land of the Apocalypse. Each island is said to have to be taken by the one user, in order to be able to gain access to the foggy island of Oscareon's Lair. No pirate has ever journeyed there, and returned. But now as Jolly Roger becomes stronger and stronger, more and more pirates are tring to become the one hero, the one legend, to save the Caribbean.

Expansions of Islands


1. Land of Sorrows
Requirements:
Story Quest 1 and 2 complete, Level 45 Notoriety.

Objective at Island: Journey and help the survivors of this island in order to reach the head dragon that resides in the caverns there.

2. Dragons' Den
Requirements:
Story Quest 1 and 2 complete, Land of Sorrows task complete, Level 45 Notoriety.

Objective at Island: Journey to the island and destroy the area where the Dragons are returning.

3. Kashtorac's Stronghold
Requirements:
Story Quest 1 and 2 complete, Dragons' Den and Land of Sorrows task complete, Level 50 Notoriety.

Objective at Island: Journey to the island and destroy the king dragon in the fortress to gain access to the next island.

4. Land of the Apocalypse
Requirements:
Story Quest 1 and 2 complete, Dragons' Den, Land of Sorrows, and Kashtorac's Stronghold task complete, Level 50 Notoriety.

Objective: Destroy all dragons on the island to have Oscareon reveal the entrance to his island because of dragons he must send in order to keep Land of the Apocalypse under his control.

5. Oscareon's Lair
Requirements:
Story Quest 1 and 2 complete, Dragons' Den, Land of Sorrows, Kashtorac's Stronghold, and Land of the Apocalypse complete, Level 55 Notoriety.

Objective: Kill Oscareon

Boss Battle Idea for Oscareon


This is like my cave raid idea for the final boss battle.

Location: Oscareon's Lair

Objective: Kill all dragons and then defeat Oscareon

Limits: All weapons allowed

Level Range: 55-60

Amount of People: 15-25

Run time: 45-80 minutes.

Enemies leading up to Oscareon's battle:

NOTE: All of these dragons are undead.

1. Dragon of Sorrows: Level 50
Weapons: Tail, claws, and head.
Defense: 20% (Defense decreases damage taken by the given percent.)
Health: 50000
Attacks:
Tail whip: Uses tail to whip and hits you for 2000 damage.
Fiery Breath: Breaths fire and causes 2500 damage, and fire burning damage.
Claw Strike: Uses claws to strike and deals 3000 damage.
Final Stand: Only if at below 300 health. Uses fire to continuously breath upon the player for 20 seconds. When 20 seconds are over it shall die.


2. Pyro Dragon: Level 50

Tail whip - Uses tail to whip and hits you for 2000 damage.
Claw Strike - Uses claws to strike and deals 3000 damage.
Inferno Explosion - Uses when below 500 health. Self detonates itself and deals 4000 damage to all people in range.

3. [i]Thunder Dragon[/I:] Level 50
Weapons: Tail, claws, and head.
Health: 50000
Attacks:
Shatter - Breaks all attunements on the dragon.
Tail whip - Uses tail to whip and hits you for 2000 damage.
Claw Strike - Uses claws to strike and deals 3000 damage.
Thunderstream - Summons thunderbolts from it's mouth and deals 2000 damage and 10 second stun.
Lightning Shatter - Breaks all attunements on anything in range.
Lightning Implosion - Self detonates itself and causes 4000 damage and 20 second stun.

4. Royal Dragon Guard: Level 55
Health: 75000
Defense: 20%
Tail whip - Uses tail to whip and hits you for 3000 damage.
Claw Strike - Uses claws to strike and deals 4000 damage.
Inferno Blaze - Breaths an inferno to it's opponents and deals 4000 damage and fire duration damage for 25 seconds.
Stomp - Stuns all players in range for 10 seconds.
Scream - Breaks all attunements.

5. Soul Dragon: Level 55
Health: 60000
Voodoo Health: 20000
Tail whip - Uses tail to whip and hits you for 3000 damage.
Claw Strike - Uses claws to strike and deals 4000 damage.
Stomp - Stuns all players in range for 10 seconds.
Scream - Breaks all attunements.
Soul Drain - Deals 2000 damage to player and gets healed for 3 times the amount.
Energy Drain - Drains 2000 voodoo and gets healed for 3 times the amount.
Soul Explosion - Used at less than 200 health, self detonates and deals 4000 damage to anybody in range.

6. Dragon Lord: Level 60
Health: 75000
Defense: 30%
Tail whip - Uses tail to whip and hits you for 3500 damage.
Claw Strike - Uses claws to strike and deals 4500 damage.
Stomp - Stuns all players in range for 15 seconds.
Scream - Breaks all attunements.
Inferno Doomsday - Breaths a massive inferno. Anybody in range takes 3500 damage, stunned for 20 seconds, and fire duration damage for 25 seconds.

7. Doomsday Dragon: Level 60
Health: 75000
Tail whip - Uses tail to whip and hits you for 3500 damage.
Claw Strike - Uses claws to strike and deals 4500 damage.
Stomp - Stuns all players in range for 15 seconds.
Scream - Breaks all attunements.
Doomsday Screech - Deals 2000 damage to all players and 10 second stun.
Doomsday Storm - Summons lightning and deals 4000 damage and 15 second stun.
Doomsday - Self detonates itself, deals 9999 damage to anybody in range.

8. Stronghold Dragon: Level 55
Health: 50000
Voodoo: 10000
Defense: 75%
Voodoo Defense: 50%
Tail whip - Uses tail to whip and hits you for 1000 damage.
Claw Strike - Uses claws to strike and deals 1000 damage.
Stomp - Stuns all players in range for 15 seconds.
Scream - Breaks all attunements.
Stronghold - Increases itself by 20% defense for 20 seconds.
Magical Barrier - Increases all dragons in area by 20% defense for 20 seconds.
Final Retaliation - Self detonates and causes all pirates in the area to take 2000 damage.

Oscareon's Battle

Oscareon: Level ???
Health: 350000
Defense: 5%
Tail whip - Uses tail to whip and hits you for 3500 damage.
Claw Strike - Uses claws to strike and deals 4500 damage.
Stomp - Stuns all players in range for 15 seconds.
Scream - Breaks all attunements.
Lightning Grip(Break Attack - 50000 health) - Lightning stays at one player's surroundings. The player can not move, tonic, or be healed by anyone. You take 2000 damage for every 7 seconds.
Dragon Summoning - Randomly picks 3 dragons from above to be summoned and aid him in his battle.
Stronghold Summoning - Summons a Stronghold Dragon
Battle Cry - Increases Attack by 20%.
Inferno Hurricane - Breaths an inferno hurricane! Deals 5000 damage to all players inside of the inferno and deals 30 second fire duration damage!
Lightning Storm - Deals a barrage of lightnign bolts! Each doing 1500 damage! Stuns for 5 seconds.
Icy Freeze - Breaths an icy fog. Freezes all players in the breath for 10 seconds, players take 500 damage for every 2 seconds frozen.
Claw Grab(Break Attack - 20000 health) - Grabs a player and makes the unable to do anything while in the position.
Claw Throw - Used when player fails to break the attack. Throws the player into a wall and deals 99999 damage.

King's Rage - Increases Attack and Defense by 50% for 30 seconds.
Elemental Destruction - Breaths all elements upon the pirates. Deals 5000 damage, and 10 second fire duration damage, 10 second stun, 10 second frozen, 500 damage every 3 seconds while frozen.
Aerial Stomp - Deals 2000 damage to all pirates in range, 10 second stun and all attunements are shattered.
Winged Gust - Uses wings to knock down all pirates!
Hurricane of Darkness - Summons a dark hurricane! Anybody in the radius will be blinded in fog, taking 200 damage per 2 seconds, and the Hurricane lasting 30 seconds.

Dog your full of ideas mate, but remember many of those ideas seem to similar to world of war craft in my opinion, sometimes a game needs realism and not just fictional events. If the ideas above are to be added to this game even if players like them, even if they are good ideas, PIRATES ONLINE WOULD LOSE ITS MEANING.
I do think that game needs more events that players can group together to do something but without changing or making game into something it shouldn't be. So far we got pvp and privateering and players are experiencing bugs in those two which should be fixed by now.

Well, I for one play MMORPGs (massively multiplayer online ROLE PLAYING games) to leave my world and go into a universe not my own, not caring in the slightest of how realistic it is. Everything in Pirates is fictional so I'm not sure where you're getting at leo. I mean we have magic powers and curses, but we can't have dragons?? BULL SPIT!! hehe I understand that they are working to follow the PotC lure, but i don't recall Stumps being in the movies? lol And if it's that big of a deal, make the dragons something more piratey. These are great ideas Dog and I think Disney should make these just as they are, with minor alterations. I think 25 people fighting a horde of enemies would be sooo fun! Unfortunately, we wouldn't be able to move due to the severe lag. Maybe they could split the group up and start us in different sections, where we'd meet up at the end to fight the bosses? Dunno just my two cents.

Note= leo I'm not criticizing you, im just voicing my opinion no hard feelings?

BULL SPIT!! hehe I understand that they are working to follow the PotC lure, but i don't recall Stumps being in the movies? lol And if it's that big of a deal, make the dragons something more piratey. These are great ideas Dog and I think Disney should make these just as they are, with minor alterations. I think 25 people fighting a horde of enemies would be sooo fun! Unfortunately, we wouldn't be able to move due to the severe lag. Maybe they could split the group up and start us in different sections, where we'd meet up at the end to fight the bosses? Dunno just my two cents.

Note= leo I'm not criticizing you, im just voicing my opinion no hard feelings?

Wouldnt that like take out more that 2/6 of the player base? - and take out possibly 1/9 more by the people who completed both story quests and are not lv45 and above?

I think the requirements would be:
- at least 1 mastered weapon
- at least lv37
- Must have more than 1,500 health.

I do think that game needs more events that players can group together to do something but without changing or making game into something it shouldn't be. So far we got pvp and privateering and players are experiencing bugs in those two which should be fixed by now.

World of warcraft also takes ideas from other games and makes them into there own style. I know that pirates can turn this "World of Warcraft Idea" into there own unique style that will attract many people in my opinion.
