Ever get left behind on your ship while the rest of the crew swings over to party on the other ship?

It happens to me every now and then. It was frustrating because I was stuck and couldn't move. Then my wife happened to hit F1 when it happened to her, and she was able to move.

Now I love it when that happens. Hit F1 and then MAN THE CANNON!

You can see your crew on the other ship, and more importantly, you can see the Navy/EITC guys on their ship. So shoot them with the cannon. Take your time and aim. No need for grapeshot, the lead balls work fine.

My wife had three navy guys on her, and was about to die, when they suddenly all got in the way of my cannonballs and fell over.

I like grape shot though if im left behind, lead seems to have a very low aoe for me (maybe cuz i didnt get shrapnel who knows) so grapeshot does about 500 worth of dmg to officers, and kills lower level enemies in one shot.
id rather not aim when i have a bunch of low level players im trying to help earn gold, cuz they might die in one or two hits.
grape does it better for me, its like using a rifle vs a shotgun, at that range, just aim in the general diection..easy.

I found out about F1 last night. I was hitting ESC to try to get unstuck the other night. My crew had a full cargo and I was stuck as well while they were fighting. Unfortunately I logged out thinking I could get back onto the ship by teleporting back before we went back to port but it wasn't possible because the rest of the crew was in combat mode.

Ya, I hated that too, until I pressed F1. I was wandering if I could pull my weapon out in this state, I cant. It kicks you out of the state when you do. But I was so happy when I did this. It meant I didnt have to log off anymore to fix it.

Anymore, I almost prefer to get left behind. Draw my sword, and then fire away at enemy crew. My FAVORITE way to kill navy and EITC... Back to plunderin'
