* Below the thunders of the upper deep;
Far, far beneath in the abysmal sea,
His ancient, dreamless, uninvaded sleep.
The Kraken sleepeth: faintest sunlights flee
About his shadow sides: above him sweel
Huge sponges of millennial growth and height;
And far away into the sicky light,
From many a wonderous grot and secret cell
Unnumbered and enormous polypi
Win now with giant arms the slumbering green.
There hath he lain for ages and will lie
Batteniny upon huge seaworms in his sleep;
Until the latter fire shall heat the deep;
Then once by man and angles to be seen,
In roaring he shall rise and on the surface die.

Sticks and stones,
Blood and bones,
A tune to hum,
And a bottle o' rum,
The treasure, she
calls,
Just beyond the falls,
Ye best prepare to
come about,
Be ready for me shout,
Skulls and hulls,
Scrawny gulls,
The Cap'n knows,
Sure as wind blows,
A glass o' port,
'N we're 'eaded North,
To tha rollin' thunder,
To attack and plunder,
Playin' some hearty jigs,
Fixin' up all yer rigs,
We're goin' ashore,
To pillage some more,
So steal*yerself a wife,
Who can live a pirate life.

The Last of the Buccaneers

Here's to our one-eyed shantyman
and here's to the cross-eyed cook,
and we raise this grog
to that old seadog
the captain - patch 'n' hook.
And we drinks it too
to the rest of our crew
gone with 'im fathoms deep
with the skull-n-bones
down where Davy Jones'
as got 'em now for keeps.
But the last of this brewis for me 'n' you
to drink to the morrow morn
when we'll dance our jig
on the gallows rig
when they fetches us at dawn.
