Mad at a games story?
I was wondering, recently, if some people have ever been angry at a games story. I have on several occasions. For instance, in COD4 after you save the pilot. I kept thinking "I know they said there was a nuke found, but it couldn't happen, right?" No FPS has ever done this, they killed you off. After the explosion went off and the chopper crashed, I might have said a few expletives... This was the first time I have ever wanted to write an angry note to a game company.
Another would be Super Mario World. All that hard work and severe cases of the "Nintendo Thumb" and I finally reached the castle. Then that little punk Toad had the nerve to say "Sorry, but our princess is in another castle!". /grumblePost your stories here please!

The Force Unleashed II had a disappointing story. I posted it on the Force Unleashed II thread, but it basically revolves around you being the clone of the dead Starkiller (Vader's Apprentice), and then you go off to try to find Juno Eclipse, the Original Starkiller's love interest. You still have some memories the original had. In the end, everyone dies and you find out that there was another clone of Starkiller. A pathetic story.

In my opinion, I loathed the storyline of Halo 3: ODST. It had cool features, but your player is just reliving the things your other squad members did by finding remnants of a past battle. "Whoa, here's this Sniper Rifle! I bet that this belonged to Romeo, and he's dead!" He finds all that out through a single object. The sidestory invovled with this game was more interesting than the real story.
