Svs needs help!!!
SHIP VS. SHIP
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I may be one of the least known on this site however I feel that someone needs to state the problems that are troubling SvS and I hope that you all are with me on this. Many old SVSers have quit the game and by old i mean some of the best because of hackers, bugs/glitches and no new svs updates. Problems: Reasons People are getting bored and quitting SvS and game. ***1. If a ship ports or logs and has more than 3000 bounty, bounty is equaly spread to other ships in SvS to keep it interesting and REDUCE DRAMA.(very important + major bug) 2. Repair Glitch - happens only in SvS when someone is repairing and a crew member tp out of the ship, repair gets stuck until you sink. 3. Leadership is useless - all skills fizzle or fail if used right after recharged with leadership(privateering/svs only) 4. Lag and delays - destroying SvS especially in Andaba, the main SvS server. 5. Fix the boarding Permission - so no random people can come to ship. 6. If player gets disconnected and gets back on ship the player looses captain ability. 7. Full sail, Ramming speed, come about and wind-catcher boosts do not work 8. Front cannon in war sloop doesn't work when shooting a ship thats behind in SvS.(not because of angle but because it hits the ship you are in while all other guns shoot them) 8. BLOCK ALL HACKERS FROM THE GAME- Cheat engine or any other cheating program should be detected by game and player using it blocked from playing Suggestions: Might make SvS more competitive and Fun 1. Add boundaries for SvS only to increase amount of battles and reduce the amount of Hide and Seek between ships (some ships will run for more than 15 minutes far around the map) 2. Increase the amount of ships on each side (ex. French 15 v. 15 Spanish ships) 3. A new privateering Isle 4. See other players on other ships 5. Only fire does damage when enemy ship is under take cover-SVS used to be more fun and competitive a year ago then now that only fury/lighting is being used. Fire is only one to do damage under TC however damage reduction applied so take cover still works 7. LIMIT THE NUMBER OF LIGHT SLOOPS/GALLONS/FRIGATES- no more than 2-4 light sloops on each side so its more balanced SVS is in my opinion the only event in the game(other than pvp) where players team together to battle other players thats fun and very competitive. If you want to be in serious SVS, Andaba is the right place mostly during the evening. *Everyone can help even if you don't like SVS by reporting these problems and Suggestions in the pirates online website by going at "contact us" ==> http://piratesonline.go.com/?cache=b...ontact_us.html and USING THE EMAIL FORM --> http://apps.disneyblast.go.com/cgi-b...nline/form.tpl Thank You and Please help with the Solution above.

/clap. Couldn't have said it better. However, I don't think that they need boundaries. Its fun chasing a Spanish ship all the way and finally sinking it at Padres.

It is fun chasing for a while however some ships will take you for a 30 minute cruise.
By Boundaries I mean not going beyond padres, ravens cove... |

All the sailing skills work. Leadership is mighty helpful as well.
As for take cover, that's not fair because it says 75% damage, and they don't need to change that at all. |

I notice that unless a ship has all its hull panels gone, that 75% less damage for take cover turns to about 99%....

Great Suggestions Leo, except for the Fire/TC issue. I like the reduced damage better (now, I don't even need to have firebrand, lol)
I also like the idea of spreading out the bounty for a port/logged ship. My idea was to leave the ship in play, and only the player logs/ports. Here is the link to the email form: http://apps.disneyblast.go.com/cgi-b...nline/form.tpl I copied and pasted your ideas (minus firebrand/tc of course....) |

Not many people in SvS either. Yes, PNC and I had a hard time finding some ships the other day, even on Andaba. Maybe because there was a Moon going on, I dunno, but I tired of Privateering long ago. Got irritating/boring after a while. I might help a guildie or two, but not for fun and games anymore. It has turned into a horrible way to get gold and rep, so I just do a little "privateering" on some Juggs and the Colossus flag.

Agreed Leo totally agreed. Svs keeps a lot of people playing because each day has different challenges that should be celebrated and the problems ironed out.
Its a game after all we pay to log on and play not to complain and report constant problems. Maya |

SVS has gone down hill, we need for choices for colors of flags, distiguished countries that were in control and fought over the caribbean at the time.. pretty sure not just the Spanish and French fought over it, Bitish privateering colors.. theres already navy why not add a privateer British isle

I think thats the exact reason they don't allow us to privateer for Great Britain, because of the Royal Navy. If we privateered for Britain, it would sorta be like teaming up with the Navy wouldn't it? Other factions to add could be Portugal and maybe some Asian countries.
