I have a theory about jacking that u ppl should be warned about.
I think that if u are try to hijack a lvl 17 phantom with only say 16 sailing, it wont work because u gotta be the same lvl or higher to jack a ship of a certain lvl. so if u have been try but not succeeding that may be ur probelmo.

Well, I'm lvl 14 sailing and I'm trying to hijack a lvl 11 greyhound or a lvl 7 bulwark but it aint working.

I Can get on the ships with the swimming and flying in the water glitch but i cant "stay" on the ship.. it just sails past under neat my feet.
How can i board it so i can use the cannons ? same as on friendly ships i can get on it. Talk to the person on the ship. But as soon as he is going to set sail the ship sails of and im not moving with the ship ? |

Try disabling a flag ship before. Dont grapple it, jst leave it there. For 5 mins you have safe passage. Then go find a ship and shoot its sails off. You can then board that ship, but you cant use the cannons or kill the capt. He might be talkin about doing a flag ship to be able to take it over, I havent tried that yet.

So how do you take over the ship if when it starts moving it "walks u off it" even if u try to run to keep up?

The Warlord EITC War Frigate has been a no-go for sailing up to this point... Headed to the Devils Coast to the WL Position, and had three crew use the bug and board the Warlord.
They managed to take the captain, and handle two of the deck guns (which they began attacking a ghost ship which had sailed into range - I then assisted in taking the ghost ship on deck of my War Frigate as it was focused on them...) but they could not take the wheel of the warlord (and it still proceeded to come at my ship under its own power... until i took the sails off it). It then became our 'floating base' as it sat there and the crew shot cannons at other NPC Ships (a Navy Centurion Frigate and a EITC Ironwall Galleon) until I finished the Warlord off.... crew sunk with the ship and went underwater but did not die - and used TP to come back to me on the ship... I believe our luck in getting a flagship would be a much better option just because its design is to be boarded by actual crew at some point - so out next mission will be to take the Man-O-War Navy Frigate and attempt the same steps... any progress here will be posted... |
