Issues in Friend Lists

Well up til yesterday I'd considered myself one of the lucky one who wasn't experiencing any problems or glitches from the latest updates. Yesterday I noticed some issues occuring in my friends list as well as getting a report from a friend who was having issues with their list.

It seems to be happening with both pirate friends and player friends. Players who are online showing up on their cards as being offline. At one point I logged in and a friend greeted me in whisper mode. I attempted to respond and it showed them as being offline. They WERE NOT offline as they were still talking to me in whisper mode. My responses weren't getting through and their card showed them as being offline.

In another instance with a different friend they spoke to me in whisper mode and all I could see in chat was their player friend number and what they were saying. It didn't Show which avatar they were on at the time as it should have. I opened their card from my friend list. Their card was showing a different avatar than the one they were using at the time and also showing a different server than the one they were actually on. They gave me their location and server over chat and I went to that location. They pulled me up on their friend list and sent a crew invite. It was only after joining crew with them that I could see the actual avatar they were using and their location and became able to TP to them. They told me they had been having these issues since a couple days after the latest updates.

Has anyone else been seeing this sort of issue lately?

I've had basically the same chat issues with the whispering for months now, probably around the time of the potions update. Irritating as all-get-out when you're trying to simply say "Hello" and you're not only not going through to your friend, but also having it in public chat rather than whispered. I've sent a gazillion bug reports about it...wondering if it's low on their priority list or if they just don't know how to fix it. LOL.

Aye, I have had similar issues.
Looks like they really need to work on adjusting the profile cards and friends lists!

Aye, I have having this problem as well. Only with one of my friends, however.

I've had a few issues like this, where it says someone is offline but they are online. No idea how it works; however, I think it has been here since before Raven's Cove.

To prevent whispers from going out in the wrong chat (local, guild, crew), make sure the chat window is not open when you click the Whisper icon on the player card. Let the player's card open the window and you will be fine.

this happened before the update when people were at sea especially basic members or when fishing or other mini-games and whale sailing.
