Look for EITC Sentinels (light galleons) or Corvettes (light frigates).
Sentinels can typically be found in the waters between Port Royal and Cuba. I find it's usually quicker to tp to Cuba, than board my ship and head back toward PR. For Corvettes: After leaving port in Tortuga, turn toward the left and sail straight out. It shouldn't be long before you see a Corvette. They spawn in that area, and there are rarely many higher level ships around. |

Take down more ships or bigger ships! Tactics!
Also when your on Quests where you have to defeat a few of the big boats this tactic helps to stay alive and sink them pretty easy.
Tactic 1: Try to Maneuver your ship behind the enemy like you are chasing them. When your Nose of the ship is about ready to hit their rear end, or near it.. Turn your ship one way until your guns line up with the rear of them, Stop your sails and Fire. Turn your ship directly the other direction and start full sail again until you line up the other side the same way. Fire and Repeat! {Using this method I have sunk many bigger ships even with a beginners ship although it might take a bit longer} If you have an extra man, Put him on the front 2 cannons and have him switch sides shooting each cannon when you line up. Tactic 2: Try to avoid them lining cannons up with you while you run a 90 degree angle and cut off their route. Stop your sails so it looks like they are going to run right through the middle of your ship. Fire away with the cannons on that side! You will have too stop and go repeatedly as that ship tries to turn, but you will not get hit. This tactic works alot better with a few cannon men on the same side. (Also this tactic is really useful for Quiet Servers where there are a lot of Ships around. When you do this, you will just keep going in little circles with the ship and it will greatly reduce your chances of taking on more opponents!) Ive used both tactics sinking the bigger Warlord ships and Phantom ships and I usually choose the one that is easiest to use at the time without being hit. (One firing of these ships cannons will do a really good amount of damage, so maneuver into position as soon as possible.) Hope this little tactic guide helps! |
