Looking for a new guild

Hi all, Im looking for a new guild, me and my husband started on pirates back in dec of 07. wow longtime ago! anyways we started as Burning Legion officers, then to dreads Privateers as officers. We really dont care to be officers its not important to us but we are looking for a new guild family. We love the snarky humor, going on killing sprees leveling, sailing all the usual. I have hung around a few guild but sadly I find myself as the oldest person there ya know graduated middle school 15 years ago (not that its bad) I just dont have anything in common with them as they are usually my childs age LOL we like larger guilds as they have a wide range of members and personalities. We are very loyal to our guild but will help a pirate in need out. anyways if you have any suggestions we would love them. We will be joining with our "baby" pirates lvls 15. anyways thanks hope to hear what anyone has to say, BTW I have been researching the guilds but ya never know which ones actually have more active members than not. thanks!

We are a family friendly guild who, in the long run, a family.
The Rules: Ah Yes The Rules...
1.) This guild is like a family, and we want it to be a fun place for all of our members. Be respectful to all players, both in the guild and out. If you have an issue with another player in the guild, let an Officer know, if the other player is not from our guild, walk away and go to another server.

2.) Always ask before you teleport to someone, unless you are in crew, they ask for help, or open their ship. This is for your safety and is a matter of respect, especially towards the Officers.

3.) There are a lot of quests in this game you cannot do on your own, this is typical of MMORPGs. We do ask the following though, try it on your own first, and then if you need help ask in Guild Chat. We love to help out, but at the same time, we don't want to hold your hand.

4.) Issues can and will arise and tempers will flare it happens in any family. That is one of the reasons that we have Officers, if an issue comes up, please seek an Officer to help you deal with it.

5.) Last, and most important: HAVE FUN!!! This is your guild and if there is anything that we can do to make it more fun, let an officer know and we will see what we can do.

I'm with him on this. There's plenty of brilliant guilds roaming the waters. Just take a look around, smell the roses, and if the roses aren't appealing, move onto the tulips, haha. Weird analogy, but one nonetheless.

lol yes u will get alot of ppl saying u can join its all up to u and alot of ppl to choose from there all super great! lol theres also pixie pyrates we love to help and play together and dont worry u wont be the oldest there (believe me) haha we care about each other were always respectful to every one in or out of the guild and we just love to have fun! even if u dont want to be a pixie we would love to be friends with ya and no the pixies isnt a girls guild haha

I have poked around on the forum quite a bit, I am fond of a few Ill have to check out your sites and see if there is a nite that is being hosted by a guild and hang with them to get a good feel! I appreciate all of your info, I do agree with the fact that you cant have every guild post on here, dont want to bog the forum and well it get redundant since guild rules are all the same and well im not illiterate and I can read about stuff they have already posted else ware "sp?" appreciate all the pm and we will now continue the hunt for the best guild for us. thanks!

Ill throw my guild out there, Shadow Sorcerors. We are a growing guild, sometimes it gets a little quiet, but most of the day there are people on, and we are quite social. Everyone is really nice, and we are always looking for new members.

Here is a list of our rules, most of them people have heard before.

1) Be respectful to pirates inside AND outside the guild.

2) Follow the pirate code mate, we are pirates after all.

3) No drama in guild chat please, we don't want to hear arguments, as it disrupts other members.

4) Ask before teleporting to your guildmates. It is considered rude by many pirates to teleport to them without asking, in case they wanted to be left alone.

5) Dont ask to be an officer, Ill make you an officer when I feel you are ready.

6) Dont steal rep. It can get very annoying (I have thought of trashing this rule...)

7) HAVE FUN!!!!

I suggest to look around and find a guild that suits your playing needs. Otherwise every guild is going to post a Sales Pitch.

best suggestion would to be is to look around here on the POF. There are guilds out there that offer the wide varitey of members (young to old, new pirates to old pirates). Take ur time at choosing ur new guild. Not all guilds for for everyone.

Though they are in the test server, but I did jump from guild to guild to guild until someone invited me to Moon's Outlaws, and they are a friendly bunch of pirates and I believe we have all ages of pirates in the guild.

Finding a guild is a very personal choice. I think you're on the right track though. I would say, beyond just reading up on a guild, shoot a PM to the GM or officers if the guild is on POF. See if there is a time you can get together and run with the guild for a night. It would give you a chance to meet prospective guildmates, and to see how you get along. Most of the guilds I've seen on POF do have guild nights, which would be excellent for that purpose.
