Ok, today I heard on the news today that two robbers wearing balaclavas entered a corner shop both armed with ten inch knives were fought off by a woman who threw a steaming cup of tea at one of them, and the empty mug thrown at the other one! LOL I laughed so hard when I heard it! xD this is what the reporter said...
"There are few problems that can't be solved with a nice hot cup of tea. As Varsha Patel showed when two robbers armed with 10in knives burst into her store. The feisty shopkeeper threw her tea at one man and hurled the empty mug at his sidekick. Contents are hot: CCTV footage shows Varsha Patel throwing her steaming cup of tea at the robber, much to his surprise By the time she grabbed hold of a whisky bottle to throw at them as well, the balaclava-clad pair had beaten a hasty retreat. Mrs Patel, who is just 5ft, said she had no time to feel fear when she was confronted with a shopkeeper's nightmare. 'I was scared afterwards but at the time I just reacted on instinct,' she said. 'I have never been one to sit back and let people bully me. I am glad they ran away - I don't know what would have happened if there had been a stand-off.' Take that: The empty mug (ringed) flies towards the robber's head Mrs Varsha was working in the shop on her own when the robbers attacked. She added: 'They ran in and I just saw these two arms coming at me as he tried to grab the scratch card dispenser which is glued to the counter. 'I think he said "Give it to me" but his voice was muffled by the balaclava. No fear: Varsha Patel displayed a lightening-fast reaction to get rid of the two assailants 'I was just about to take my first sip of tea and threw the contents in his face as he came towards me. 'He staggered back a bit and his friend was still hanging around so I threw my empty mug at his face. 'I stepped back to grab a bottle of spirits and then they backed off and ran out.' The robbers struck just after 11am on Tuesday at Kensworth village store in Bedfordshire, which Mrs Patel has run with her husband for 20 years. As seen on the shop's CCTV footage, one raider grabbed the National Lottery scratch card dispenser and the other made a lunge for the till. After hurling the tea Mrs Patel chased the men out of the shop. They are thought to have fled in a blue Peugeot. The card dispenser contained around 1,000 cards which were cancelled immediately - meaning they got away with nothing. Mrs Patel's husband, Yogesh, 50, said: 'I get more scared about what could have happened each time I think about it.' Bedfordshire Police are investigating."

yes and its also good for some thing else ill show ya - sips hot tea - ahh! a bug! - throws hot tea at bug - *bug still moving* - throws mug at bug - *CRUSH* see how well that work
