Invasion Expansion Idea!

I think that there should be invasions where there are Commanders for each wave, and if you don't defeat the Commander in time then more enemies are summoned during the same brigade, making it harder. But if you do defeat the Commander then the wave will end and the next one will come.

The commander should only take 1/2 of the damage and is a Level ?? and has about 10000 health, there should be about 3-5 coming and if they reach the barricade then they say,...

Rally up ye dogs! And serve Jolly Roger!

Causing more enemies of that wave to come, and then extending that wave until all commanders are defeated. Then the commanders would gradually get harder, but they would walk slowly to the barricade.

The commanders are dual wielders, and have armor on them making them look like fierce opponents. They can use new moves like a 10 attack move kinda a double bladestorm, to knock people out.

Another Idea I have are Voodoo Concentrators in invasions, that will come if the commander comes, the voodoo concentrators have devestating moves and will ONLY attack the barricades in hopes of destroying it. They have moves like Death Destruction where a dark explosion happens into the barricade and damages it. They have to be charged and can be interrupted.

Also I'd like to see an army of enemies come with Roger, where he says Follow me now! makes no sense as there no enemies following him.

There should be Undead Commanders following him as well as four keg runners surrounding him, along with Voodoo Priests surrounding him, that can heal for like 5000 to 20000 health for Jolly Roger.

The Voodoo Priests would be able to cast moves like Soul Corruption, where you immediately get knocked out, or moves like Soul Slay, which knocks out anybody near the enemy. They would also be able to cause a move like Earth Fusion, where the earth comes under you and grabs you, damaging you for 10 seconds and making you immobile.

The Undead Commanders here would only take 1/4 of the damage, and would have 50k health. And also dual wield swords and cause massive damage to everyone AROUND them, like they are using a devestating broadsword to engage.

That's all I have, feel free to complain about anything here, just and idea I had....

Sounds good in a way, but in another, just seems like a little much to pack into one invasion. Maybe certain enemies who could lead the Final brigade other than Jolly would be nice, but I'd like more enemies all around.

I dont think the EITC should invade. The EITC lives to beat up us pirates, but not to conquer our islands. Maaaaaybe Tortuga, but it would still seem awkward. Beckett isnt the kind to just do an invasion and let us fight back. They would probably send agents and slowly take out our defenses, then slowly take over without much fighting.

Im getting ahead of myself, I like your ideas Dog, that would make invasions more interesting.

How about mixing Cannon Defense and Treasure Fleets into Invasions?

An Undead Ship of the Line rolls in, and then various brigades come out of the SotL and its protection ships. We fire our cannons at them, and then we see huge puffs of smoke coming out of their ships. But wait, what is coming? Suddenly dozens of explosives hit the Defenses AND the Barricades.

Or this situation. The Undead ships fire countless long stretching white spectral fury which flies past us. We then send our fighters to battle them on their ships.

An EITC or Navy Invasion sounds nice. But in these Invasions, their light frigates have to stop at the docks and drop their thugs and cadets to attack us. The enemies can't just suddenly spawn lol. But as Davy said above, Beckett might not send a huge Invasion force to ransack an island. Just maybe Tortuga. But that can only be a minor raid. How about a British Navy Invasion against the Spanish colony of Cuba? Spanish privateers can be used to rebuff the enemuies.

Yea, they do need to make invasions harder, even though they added the powder keg runners (which did make it a little interesting). But still i think its too easy

The navy are in the Caribbean to defend it, not conquer it. The EITC are a business company who want to control the trading routes of the sea. Since pirates are getting in the way, the EITC wants to eliminate them. Ill say it again, the EITC and Navy should not be attacking islands, its not their part in the story and game.

However Midhav, I do like your idea of the Undead SOTL. It would be an interesting twist of an invasion.

What about a treasure map type of invasion? Where you take a crew, choose an island (maybe even some imaginary island that doesnt exist in the game, like black pearl island, just a different name). Then, You spread out, and the difficulty changes depending on how many people there are. However, instead of there being only 7 waves, what if its endless? Or 100 waves? Heck! Let us choose how many waves! in the case of an endless invasion, the invasion keeps going until there is a path to the center of the island, and then Jolly Roger spawns.

You would get rep the same way you do in a normal invasion.

I'd also like to see rain in certain waves, which make using any firearm or gunpowder useless for that wave. ( wet gunpowder )

Just because it rains doesn't mean the Gun powder will become wet. Look at all the battles where the was rain during the revolutionary war, and other wars, and soldiers didn't have problems with wet gun powder. The gun powder is in the gun, so unless you dropped the gun in water, it was most likely fine.

Mac is right Dog, however you have a good idea. It would be interesting if in certain waves, Jolly put a curse on a certain weapon class so you cant use them, or it just greatly decreases their strength.

For example, at the start of wave 4 Jolly says: Hahaha pirates... lets see how ye do without yer voodoo dolls.

Then all voodoo dolls cannot be used for that wave.

I have had an idea for this one. At some point in the 2nd story chapter, Davy Jones should have found the location of the item inscribed in the "Headstone"... Let's take Isla Fortuna or Isla Hermosa from the prequel novels. It will be sort of a reverse of an Invasion. The Invasion would have already made its way to the island.

Now, we have to battle off 400 of Davy Jones' Crew from the island. Some will be stationed at some points, while others move in patrol routes. It will be a role playing level. If a patrol enemy sees us, he sends out a signal to his comrades.

So we have to be hiding among the bushes, on tree and roof tops. We can attack the crew members slowly... or we can openly attack them ALL at once which will only lead to our demise.

We can stalk one of them, hit him on the head and prevent him from telling his mates. We can put a gunpowder barrel among a chatting troop of the Crew and then make it explode. We have to hide in a nearby forest before the enemy realizes the base camp location.

Or we can have a ship nearby to store all our food and rum. If the enemies spot our ship, they attack it, in which case we have to retort with Cannon Fire. But the worst case would be if the Dutchman spots us.

So we hunt among the enemies and visit all hiding civillians. We enter a mine, where we have to find the magical object, or a map that leads to the object.

After killing all 400 enemies, Davy Jones will realize this and send his Bosses to hunt us down in an Invasion format. We can also use Land Cannons to fire at the Dutchman, to temporarily prevent henchmen from joining the Bosses. After knocking out the bosses we have to make our escape with our ship and continue the story.

I like yer idea of no weapon use for certain waves! It sounds nice.
