Need to take my clothes off...

No, but really I've come back to the game from a year hiatus and I'm trying to get used to all the changes.

So I went to my chest and into the clothing and garb changing panel. I put on a vest to remember what it looked like, but now I can't take it off. However, I noticed all of my clothing slots are full, does that mean I now can't take the vest off at all until I free up a space in the clothing list? As soon as I put it on, that empty space was filled in by something else I had in my clothing inventory.

You will simply have to sell some clothing items, or dump them. Soon enough the spaces will quit filling up, and you'll be able to take your vest off again. When they made this update they had less clothing space, but you could have more than four of a type of clothing item.
