Visa gift cards for membership question

I did call pirates online billing support and they said it might work and it might not work, also to try it to see if it works. Because the reason why I need to get this is because I called and checked all the cvs, best buys and all around my area and they don't sell the pirates online game cards anymore. Another thing is we just can't use a credit card so maybe a visa gift card should work for just one month ($10) So my question is did any of you guys try it? Did it work? Do you keep doing it? Thanks!

Also any other gift cards will work better like mastercard....ext?

I paid recently with a normal visa gift card - it worked for me.

Yes, you can pay with a Visa Gift Card. I've done it multiple times. However, please note that you actually need to have not $10 but $11 on it. Disney, like other companies does a check to see if the card is valid, by putting a hold of $1 on the card. When the payment clears the $1 is returned to you.

Also, Disney does not distinguish between a regular Visa and a Visa Gift Card. It will try and pull a recurring payment from it. To stop this either cancel your membership via PiratesOnline.com Account Manager, Cancel Subscription. This will cancel any future payments but the current one remains active till the night before you would have been billed again. Or you can call Pirates Online Customer service at 1-877-427-7744. Just stay on the line to speak to an agent. They can get you set up with canceling any future payments.

I pay this way myself. Make sure you activate the gift card for online purcheases, by registering it on the gift card website!
