Sirens Call...Part One
A lad floated adrift in a battered dinghy, which wallowed miserably upon an azure sea....he lay akimbo, his salt-crusted hair waving gently in the water filling the breached bottom of the little boat...pain wracked his chest and muddled his thoughts...of a sudden, a sweet song filled the air...the sea birds hushed their raucous cries...the air cooled across his fiery, burnt skin...the boat slowed to a gentle rocking...,and a peaceful longing filled the lad ...a sweet touch upon his fevered brow....the song easing the lads suffering..until at last he felt the rowboat bumping the shore and voices rising in alarm and rescue...and the song faded from his hearing....but never from his memory....so different from the deceiving melody he and his crewmates had heard.....just before their ship foundered on the reef...so different...and yet,

nope MP.......this ordinary sailor is not washing up on Calypso's island prison...this is more a common tale of sirens...those that caused many a pirate and sailor to perish with their siren call....according to legends... but I got to thinking that all sirens couldn't be bad...right? gotta wait and see....
