Crew Bonus effect treasure drop?
Aye I'm wondering if your crew bonus effects your loot drops. ( treasure, cards, gold ) If anybody has taken the time or know if this is true or not please post here. Thanks mates!

The only thing crew bonus seems to affect, is the captain's bonus when landing a ship with cargo. The captain's bonus is 50 gold for each person in crew. Gold farming in Governor's Garden with a crew nets much less treasure because your individual pirate accomplishes significantly fewer kills. In Governor's Garden, with or without crew, treasures drop for 10% of your kills, cards drop for 5% of your kills. (Same for Kingshead mob.)
Humanoid-shaped enemies tend to give gold (navy soldiers, skeletons) while "creatures" do not. The only gold you get from "creatures" is the gold value of the treasures. So, for example, ranking on Cuba gators nets very little gold. Gray level humanoid enemies give reduced gold amounts; green, yellow and red humanoid enemies give gold proportional to their level. Also of note: when two pirates defeat an enemy, one pirate may get a treasure while the other does not. It is a pirate-personal calculation. But samples of 2,000 or more enemies defeated still show a consistent 10% & 5% probability rate for the drops. Certain enemies give "better" cards when they drop cards. The best example, are stumps on Outcast Island - when they drop cards, they are consistently "good" cards. (Tormenta enemies are similar, but not quite as good.) Also of note: the only way to get spades (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, T, J, Q, K, A) is to do Black Mack quests in Rowdy Rooster on Port Royal. There are two quests you can get from him - the top item makes you kill a bizarre number of duelists, the bottom item makes you kill only a single skeleton. Each time you complete the Black Mack quest, log out then log back in and pick the quest up again. Also of note: Disney stopped doing clothing drops one year ago. Each clothing drop was obscenely rare; approximately 1 drop for every 50,000 enemies defeated. But they have completely stopped doing them now. No idea why. |

Actually Edward my biggest pirate only ever got 2 cards from Black Mack, yet she has way more than a full suit of spades.
As for crews giving a bonus with treasure drops, that I couldn't say for sure, since I always travel with 2 of my pirates always in a crew. I can say a few things about where to find what. Or more like where I found what. For my big pirate Kat, she is a 49 and has around 260 playing cards. She did both the nades and the staff at Kingshead parade grounds. Those guys put out low to mid level playing cards like nobodys business. They're also pretty good for the Navy Medals, Valuables, The Nine Rogues, and the Treasured Chess Set. In my experience though they are awful for Tia Dalma's Menagerie. For some oddball reason gators of all sizes are also a good source of playing cards, and of Tia's Menagerie. Hands down though I get my very best cards in Tormenta. I really think it's all in the level of enemy you fight. The Dregs, not such great cards. Flotsam, Spineskulls, when they have cards tend to have face cards. With very few exceptions (since I started keeping track), Urchinfist and Thrall Captains have been packing aces. Just last night I got an ace of spades off an Urchin. But then, like I said, I always travel with a crew. I tend to fighting higher level enemies than I would if I were playing solo. That I think has a great deal of effect on the drops I get. This is different for everyone, but just my personal experience. |

Wow! Pardon my disbelief, but did you get a screen shot, perchance? To date, I've never seen any enemy give a spade that wasn't a 2 or 3 of spades. Lucky you - you're the first person to make that claim, as far as I know.

I dont think crew effects treasure drops, I know I have gotten at least 9 clothes drops and only once was I in a crew when I got it.

Yay Another Black Bandana =D!! Its been such a long time since I have seen another one of those.
Anyway. No I do no think it does. The only thing that does is the skill "Treasure Sence" In your sailing I beleave you get this around lvl 15 or something Idk I forget it has been such a long time since then xD. But Yes I have around 260 or something around that I haevnt looked at my cars for a while. But like someone said in a post above, one of the bust places for cards is Kingshead, Just go kill the group of 7 navy practising in the middle of the first yard you enter. But the BEST way I found to get gold is ether Cannons of the deep game at this link. http://m.disney.go.com/disney/wap/pirate/ You can get as much gold as you want but only give your Pirate 1k a day but that starts to add up if you give it every day. And the other get your surper siege go to the lvl 50s at Tormenta and kill the in 2 to 3 hits each. You get an average of like 50 gold each xD. Ben Lockshot ~Gm of GoT~ Lvl 50 |
