Release Notes - January 15, 2010

Smaller Fixes & Additions

• Fixed an issue when enemies were getting stuck during invasions on Padres Del Fuego
• Fixed an issue where more enemies weren't spawning during invasions on Padres Del Fuego
• Fixed an issue where you could glitch outside a cave during Player vs. Player
• Fixed an issue where teleporting to a ship that was docking was crashing the game

Thought I'd add that these have been added to Open as of today, Jan 21, 2010.

Quite a few people aren't going to be happy(perhaps including me)....and that was Abbasa's offical pastime!

I just saw some pirates on test in pvp glitch... i saw them tp to tortuga and they looked around then logged off...

I dont think they fixed it all the way

I'm glad they fixed all of this. The invasions (although I never experienced any problems, many others did) needed to be fixed. Crashing, again, never experienced, but it still needed to be fixed if it was happening. And PvP, that one needed fixing most of all. Plenty of people enjoy it, but personally I would want to see PvP servers, rather than glitches.

The fix on the enemies not re-spawning & getting stuck is a great one. It seemed as though certain servers were affected by those problems. Experienced one last night on open. Hopefully, this will be released to open soon so all pirates can take part in an invasion like they were intended.

Phew, finally! I've been waiting for them to fix those endless invasions, it was starting to go from really annoying to extremely boring to have to stand around and wait for the invasion to fix itself. Now I can finally do invasions on my favorite server again

As for them fixing the PvP glitch.. meh, I'm glad to see they finally put an end to it. It was all just unneccassary lag that we all really didn't need. And as Sven said, I'd rather have PvP servers than just a glitch.

Aww and i was just starting to figure the pvp glitch out well lol but pvp severs still sound good beacuse it would be better of you could really see yer pirate not this messed up skeleton thing BOO!! skeleton thing Yay!! pvp server with the real pirates lol.

it sounds nice, but it is a bad idea considering that Runescape was the first to come up with the idea of pvp servers. Probably pvp islands, such as allowing wild islands to let pirates take on each other, and most rules of the code are broken. or a small isle between the privateering isles, where the teams pvp. For that they need to make it that pirates have to swear allegiance to one side, not switch sides. Anyway, in the opinion survey one of the options for things to come was pvp battles, so we can expect a lot more arenas to choose
