It is part of the update to look more realistic during different parts of the day.

It used to just appear in the sky and be transparent during the day.

Now it moves up. However, I believe it appears way too early in the day. I can literally see it when the sky is red, or in real time, around six o' clock. That's just way too early. Yes, you can see the moon in the sky sometimes, but this is an over exaggeration and I think they should fix it.

Have you noticed the sunrises too? Look pretty cool, better than some I've seen in real, lol. At first I didnt notice the sun, thought was just the moon setting, then I looked at the compass to see which way I was facing. I do like this feature. Makes you feel like a real day went by.

I dont think its a bug it is winter time and the moon does come up earlier as it gets dark earlier.

In real life the sun and the moon are on completely different schedules and appear in the sky independent of each other. It's entirely possible to have the sun and the moon in the sky at the same time, or else there would be no eclipses. I wonder if the developers actually put this in so that they move the way they are supposed to in real life or whether they just have them rotating around the world. I've never seen them both in the sky at the same time, even after this patch when the moon started to move, so I think they just rotate around the world at the same time and we'll always see the sun in the day and the moon at night.
