More glitches with the update
Since the update has anyone else lost the ships and islands while sailing? It looked something like this...
Note there's supposed to be a ship off the starboard bow, and there isn't. What you can't see here is what's impressive. I had only just launched at Port Royal. So you should be seeing Devils Anvil, and maybe Tuga to the bow. Yet it's not there. You can also see even more clearly that the ships just aren't where my compass says they are. If you read the chat, that's me, cause I was being fired on by these invisible ships I could neither see nor hit. So my question is, has this happened to anyone else? I reported it and D as much as told me it was my problem, saying I should be on DirectX9 graphics settings. (Which I am.) Or that changing servers or logging out would fix it. (Wrong again D, tried both those things before giving up on it.) If anyone else has seen this and reported it, what sort of response did you get? * This happened Friday I just never got around to posting it till today. |

I think the screenshot is missing Hawke...

Hawke, that situation has happened to me at well. The only thing is, it was doing that well before the garbage update. It usually happens only when i log out a couple times to switch pirates.
If I have to sail somewhere, I usually open up the map to navigate me to the island I want to go to, and at the same time look at the compass to sail around the enemy ships so I don't draw fire. Especially seeing as you can seem to hurt them but they can hurt you! The only workaround I've been able to find, is logging all the way out to the desktop, and then going back into the game. For the record, I use Open GL, I have been since the Port Royal island redo I think. That was because if you used DirectX9, the game would crash before you even got into the game. But for some reason, that was never Disney's fault!

You got that right, it never is D's fault. Now the want me to send the login files, which I sent them on Friday with the first report. Seems they are trying every way they can to refuse to admit this is an issue on their end. But hey, that's the D we know so well.

I've seen some ships sail out of the islands. Could the ship that was firing on you have been in an island?
