Cannot use my "Life Drain"Voodoo level 20

Can someone tell me why I can't use my "Life Drain" Voodoo. I just reached level 20 on Voodoo and cannot unlock the "Life Drain" to be able to use it. I am also a level 22 notoriety. It says the "Life Drain" unlocks at level 20.

From your screen shots it appears you have no skill points available to unlock the skill. You need to be able to put a skill point there to unlock it.

Thanks for your help. I thought all my others unlocked as soon as I reached the proper level. It says it unlocks at level 20 and I thought it would unlock immediately. How do I get the skill points for it if it wont unlock?

You get 1 skill point for each level your weapon goes up. You will get another doll skill point at level 21. You can unlock the skill then.

All my other weapon skills unlocked at the level they stated they would and I was able to use them immediately. Why would this one be any different? Why do I have to go one more skill level than the weapon stated (level 20)? I am still just not getting it.

Skill points are earned at each level a weapon reaches. You got 1 when your doll got to level 20 but you must have applied to another doll skill. The points are given to unlock skills or make unlocked skills stronger. I don't know of any skill that "automatically" unlocks at any level without applying a skill point to it first with the exception of the first basic skill of a weapon. The skills became available at the levels stated, but a skill point is required to unlock it for use.

You might want to count the number of skill points you have used.

Is it possible that you somehow applied the skill point you received when you reached level 20 to a different skill on the doll? I have accidentally applied skill pts to a skill just by hovering my mouse over it, trying to read what the skill does. I've also accidentally applied more skill pts to a skill than I meant to, when there was a delay after clicking on a skill, so I clicked again and ended up putting 2 skill pts there when I had only wanted to put one.


Having said that, my test character has not been receiving skill points when reaching the next level on her staff (twice now). Not sure if it would happen on another weapon or not, I haven,t leveled any others on her recently. I need to send in a bug report, but haven't done it yet. I'm sure its my graphics card that's the problem.

Thanks Captain Grizzly and Plunderin Mom. I think that is exactly what I did. Accidently applied it to another skill without meaning to. Mystery solved.
