I got knocked out by Connie several times, just for being on the very corner of the open floor area,,, then a couple more simply for healing fellow pirates on the edge, I was CLEARLY NOT in the house,,, but I guess that if ye help someone she just knocked out,,, you will get it too.
Once you see and interact with Connie once, it's the same ol' thing,,,, *cries*, wassdamatter Connie?, Oh, please help me!, My husband John, *cries*, repay the gold, blah, blah, blah,,, BAM !!!! Knocked out and to jail,,,, come back,,,,, same thing..... I mean, it's cool and all,,, very different,,, but it's getting dull..... |

Well, it seems like no one has ran into Cromwell yet. It's definitely unfortunate that we don't know what server they will be in, since not all of us have time to wander around ghost-hunting.
Although, today was rather interesting. On Port Royal Beach in Anegasseo (spelling?) before the first invasion of the day, I ran into Old Sooty. He kept warning us that Jolly Roger would invade today, and this would not be the end of him. Then, another pirate brought up Constance in which Sooty said, "Ah, Constance. You should pay a visit to Captain Cromwell about her." Then, someone asked about Cromwell and Sooty replied, "I hear Cromwell be around Governor's Garden- he is quite a creepy fellow he is." Then, strangely enough during the third invasion, we had fought the continuous streams of undead and then Jolly Roger said "Ye are foiling my plans. Mates retreat back to the ship." (or something along the lines of that, I forget the exact wording) and then he just sailed away, never actually coming to fight. I don't know what that means, if he just retreats, but I was thinking about how it says that the invasions will last as long as JR has enough forces. So possibly this meant he was lacking an army of undead/forces and we won't see invasions for awhile.....? |

so here is a thought. i was considering posting this earlier, but then i found the story lines on the normal website. I am going to make a prediction, the next time anyone runs into rott, try calling him cromwell. Perhaps rott is an alias, and there is more to cromwell's story. that would explain the insane amounts of gold rott was giving out for those jobs.
I realize this suggestion is only a hunch, and one without much evidence to back it up, but what's there to lose? worst thing that could happen is Rott saying "I think ye be mistaking me for someone else" |

Sarah, Was involved in an invasion last night that started around 10:30 central. Went on for almost 1/2 hr.. Jolly seems to still have plenty of undead forces. And Jolly himself did come ashore. Made it to the mansion grounds, but then he finally went down . Was one of the toughest battles I have been in for some time. Robert Firewalker, lvl 43 |

What really gets my goat is this: Most of these things are happening on Abassa or one of those really crowded servers, right? They tell you "Stay away from Abassa, it's the busiest server on the game" yet they go ahead and do some of these things on Abassa which is the busiest server in the game.
Anyways.. Me and a friend did an invasion by ourselves. went smooth enough, but couple barricades went down and Jolly Roger came early due to a barricade protecting the mansion getting destroyed. Got to give him his Birthday gifts though! ![]() Gotta see if i can find Ezekiel.. So many things i want to tell him! P.S: Hope that's not really off-topic-ness.. :\ |

After that battle I switched over to an "ideal" server to see if I could catch the end of the invasion to get some more rep. I had done this before in previous invasions and I found that servers that are "ideal" during invasions are very chaotic, since it is not an organized crew, so they tend to take a longer time to finish the invasions. I switched over, and sure enough I was able to catch the last wave of enemies and then Jolly. Once that invasion was done I switched over to another serve, and surprisingly they STILL had an invasion going on. Well, sure enough I got to a server and the last group of enemies had just been announced, and then when we were fighting them off, almost all of them were dead when JR retreats and sails away. It was quite bizarre... You're right though, it really does seem that Jolly has enough force, that was just an assumption. So, now I think that this has nothing to do with the upcoming events and plot (i.e. JR running out of forces) and this may just be a mere bug, or perhaps its meant to happen that after a respected time period, JR must sail away so invasions do not last for hours. It must have been over an hour or more by the time I got to that server, because I had taken part in two other invasions in different servers beforehand. Anyways, it's just an inference, this whole thing could mean nothing at all. Well, back to the ghosts, today I plan on doing a bit of ghost-hunting especially for Cromwell now that Old Sooty has hinted his whereabouts. I''ll post about if I'm able to find Cromwell, or if I have any other unusual run-ins with ghosts. |

Uh, dude, that kind of distracting stuff keeps the GMs from being able to take the time to give us nifty info like when we might get an invasion next, where this might lead, where to find Cromwell, an other fun stuff like that.

When I ran into Old Sooty he was answering our questions until two annoying pirates pulled out their pistols and were trying to shoot at him. As soon as that happened he left, and I never got to ask more questions. You have to be especially careful with Constance because she seems like she holds a lot of information from her little hints and she has this odd evilness about her (i.e. THE EVIL GLOWING RED EYES!) that many are curious about, but she has a low tolerance for annoyances and it's hard enough already to get information out of her between the pleads for help and the crying.

Sarah and Hawke are exactly right.
Ok, I would think by now everyone would know to treat the GM's with respect and that they are in character. You have to also act in character when you interact with them. BE your pirate and be respectful. You never know what kind of information they have come to give us and as Sarah pointed out. Things went along very well until the rude pirates showed up. Let these pirates know that we don't appreciate what they are doing. Let's try and get a message out to these types that if they are not interested in participating to go away and do something else. I don't understand this mentality that its fun to ruin other people's fun. In most cases I don't think they are intentionally being mean, they just are not thinking of anyone but themselves. So if you are at a GM event and this rude behavior is going on. Let the disrupters know they are not wanted here. With any luck they will leave or at least be quiet and settle down. Did anyone happen to catch what Constance or Old Sooty had to say this time? Please report you sightings and information here. I know its a long thread but it has everything in it. Thx and good hunting!! Captain Whale |

Aye I was on Abassa tonight trying to hear Constance Sorrow tell us about when the next invasion was but all she said was "Jolly Roger is near...". Alot of very rude pirates were going into her home and GM Ruby Wynn came to ask them to please stop she left after about 10 minutes or so and she said she was very disappointed with the rude pirates there and she was going to tell Captain Walt about this. For all you rude pirates out there stop being rude and disrespectful to the GM's unless you want to be banned or suspended!

I was there too. I find it wrong how those immature pirates always get in the way! I could tell that Constance was about to tell us something usefull, but they kept entering her house and most of what she said was yelling at them to leave.
On the plus side though, she did tell us that "they" came in her house without permission and too John away. Now if only the annoying, immature pirates hadn't interrupted we would actually know who "they" were. EDIT: Does anyone know where Old Sooty can be found? I saw Constance today on Abassa in her house when the Marceline members showed up. Cromwell flew around Port Royal dock as an orb, and then went to the Governor's Garden on Abassa (he only gives 500 gold). So that leaves only one ghost left for me to find. |

Aye, Abassa was busy tonight, I was unable to get in to visit Constance and with my disconnection luck, if I got in I would be quickly booted. Too bad for those ignorant pirates, I would have loved to hear what else Constance had to say.
Capt Seafury, I'm not sure of all of Old Sooty's whereabouts but I have ran into him on both of the Port Royal beaches; once in Anegaso and once in Cruzaire. It seems that Old Sooty chooses his districts rather randomly, but Constance seems to always be sighted in Abassa. Thanks for the information on Cromwell, I have yet to run into him... |

I saw Constance on Andoso last night, but nobody would stay out of her house so she left without giving any new info.
