Should I keep my Frigate, or buy a War Sloop?

I know the War Sloop is more expensive, but it seems like the Frigate is actually a better ship. What should I do? I have the money and sailing level, its just a matter of deciding.

I kept my frigate until I hade enough to buy a war frigate. I have a war sloop but almost never use it. The hull strength is not very good, it doesn't hold much cargo, it doesn't have very many broadsides and there are no forward cannons for the crew. It is fast (the war frigate is painfully slow), but if I just need to make a quick trip to one of the wild islands, I take my light sloop and avoid enemy ships completely.

That's along the lines of what I was thinking. I have a light sloop I use for island hopping and it seems the War Sloop lacks a lot for 20k. I think I will save up for the War Galleon, and then the War Frigate after that and avoid the War Sloop all together. Thanks!
